Playable for most levels of golfers
Love playing this course several times a year even though it is 45 miles from home. Could use some rangering to open up play.. On this occasion we got stuck behind walkers who had three holes open ahead of them. They finally allowed us to play through after 7 holes of agony. these 7 took almost two hours. The subsequent 11 holes less than 2-1/4 hours since there was no one in front of us.
Great place to play
The course is in great condition and the staff is second to none, always very friendly and very accommading, a great experience!!!!!
Back 9 has some great challenging holes.
They need to level off some of the tee boxes . They also could put some weed killer on the course lots of weeds . Great lay out & nice greens.
There's no better value for a top quality course in the N. Burbs....
LOVE Midlane. Beautiful course. Priced VERY fairly. It's one step below Thunderhawk, but 66% less expensive. It's the same price as Bittersweet, but a much prettier course (and that's not a knock on Bittersweet at all). Pro and his staff are great. This is a must play if you have the time (and a GPS) to get up to Wadsworth.
An almmost perfect day out
The sun was shining the air was a little cool, but otherwise a nice day to be n the course. The course had recovered from the winter and was nice and green, the greens were medium fast.
This course was had allot of water
This course has its share of water (some holes are very picturesque) as well as sand traps that seem to placed in areas that kept me from scoring as well as I would like. all in all, this course was challenging and I will enjoy future attempts to better my score.
Great Value-Hidden Gem
Beautiful conditions even with the harsh winter. The greens rolled true and the fairways were meticulously cut. Had the course all to myself for 10 holes, weather was probably a factor in that (mid 40's and windy). Course is a fair test and you need to locate your drives to have the best angles into greens. Most holes are fairly simple but there are some holes in which you scratch your head on the tee. Not a walkers course if you are not in good shape.
Don't honor confirmed fees
because of there pre-programmed register they could not agree to my printed certificate for $39, they had to charge $40. No big deal, but it held up the registering line and idicated that they didn't think the customer comes first!
great value for the price. run many specials.
Nice course. Great practice facility. Greens are extremely slow though which is surprising. Seems like they have way too much grass in the greens. Very scenic course though and a lot of fun
Nice but Difficult Course
I played late November, but the course was still in good condition. Fairways and greens are well maintained. If you are a little wild on your tee shots, you will get into a lot of trouble. I think the back nine is slightly more difficult than the front. I would play it again.
Great round !
Course was in good shape, especially considering the late date. Course was empty, we had it to ourselves. We played until dark & staff was cordial related to late return of the cart. Maybe the best round I've ever had at midlane.
Great value and enough challenge
Overall, this course is a great value with its challenging layout , well maintained facility and friendly staff. One complaint would be the tendency for slow play on weekends, especially for the late am and pm tee times. If in their budget, course rangers on weekends would go far to improve this fault. I would, though, recommend this course to any friend or serious golfer.
none
The course is 6,800 yards from the tips and it is a challenge. It was well maintained and the pace of play was excellent
Every hole has character. Only a couple breather holes
Well-maintained course with quick contoured greens. Every hole has character. Only a couple breather holes. Long course to walk due to border housing and some rolling terrain, so get a GolfNow deal and use a power cart. No GPS, but sprinkler heads and fairway plates have accurate distances. Only maintenance qualm is that sand bunkers should have better sand and uniform consistency. Plenty of water. Multiple tees on every hole. The Par 5's are 3-shot holes and all the Par 3's are middle iron or longer. Even at full price. this gem is a bargain.
One of the BEST values
I live in the north side of the city, so it's a bit of a trek to get here, but worth it especially if you can get a good deal on this site. I think I payed $20, amazing. You can see from walking on from the parking lot, looking at the practice green, it is very well maintained. The clubhouse it terrific with full bar and good food. The grass range is great and they even have a huge bag of balls for like
$9. There is a long distance to drive from clubhouse to range, to 1st tee, and then to back 9, with HUGE speed bumps.
The course is a terrific challenge, very picturesque, greens well guarded, fast true rolls on the greens, long par 5's, nice tee boxes, and fair penalties for errant drives. Definitely recommend.
Plenty of water hazards, but you can play away from them.
This place never disappoints. I play here about 7 times/year.
An enjoyable course that's fairly forgiving
The greens drained well despite recent rain. The fairways were a little soft in places but still played well. The pace was good even with intermittent rain. A hidden gem that should be explored.
This course is challenging
This course is difficult. There is a lot of water and if you are not long don't play the back tees. It is a flat course so it will be a little windy always. The course is in good condition and the staff is friendly.
The course was well manicured.
I was going to play golf at another course with a friend but when I clicked on the tee time for 2 people I was advised that 1 person already took that spot so I searched for another place to golf. Midlane was available only 20 minutes later with about the same dollar amount. I glad we decided to play there. I have not played there in about 8 years and really enjoyed the course. The fairways were cut very short and the rough was not too thick. The greens were very well taken care of and were not too difficult. I will play there again soon.
Midlane Golf Resort
A really fun course to play with great variety of holes and shot making required
