About
Mystic Oak Golf Course in Waterloo has a diverse layout that seems to play a little differently each time you're on it. The layout features long, winding fairways and gently sloping greens, which are framed by a slew of strategically placed bunkers. There are also many water hazards that come into play throughout the golf course. The gently rolling terrain has subtle ups and downs that provide tricky uneven lies. The back nine is uniquely divided into three par 3s, par 4s, and par 5s each. The golf course will test your short-game skills but the lengthy par 5s offer driving opportunities for long hitters as well. Mystic Oak Golf Course is player friendly enough for a wide range of skill levels but you may be surprised to find yourself using all the clubs in your bag.

Great Course and Good Value for your dollar
Love everything about this course. Greens in great shape and the fairways are all good. The 19th hole is by far the best!
Great Course
The course is in very good condition. Really like the area the course is on.
I will be back
For those of you thinking of going back to this course, You should make that effort. This is complete turnaround. I played this course many times in the past on a regular bases but stopped a few years back because of the condition it became. This is the best I have seen it . The greens are on the slower side but wow what a difference. The fairways have some bad areas but overall are really nice. The rough is playable and the tee boxes are much improved. We will be back
Great course
Course was in good shape. Nice greens. The course layout is perfect, challenging but not overly difficult. I play to a 9 handicap and use the white tees (about 6,000 yards here). Love the course and will be back.
Retry darn good
Not sure what that other review was all about, this course is not that bad! Fairways are in decent shape greens very soft and holding just a little bit fuzzy. I just wish that golf now when describing the course would also list the days of league play, but I guess if you do your homework and look on the Internet at the courses website, you can find that out and not show up in the middle of a two-man scramble! We will be back, this course is in really good shape.
Bad
Fairways were half dead and every other green was in decent shape. Not worth the money for 18 in my opinion. I would rather pay a little more and play at a better course.
A Good Time
My husband and I played this course several years ago and we were not impressed. Decided to play here again and what a pleasant surprise! The course was well kept. Fairways were great as well as the greens. Don’t know if it is under new management or what happened but we were impressed. We would definitely recommend Mystic Oak and we will definitely play here again.
First time playing there.
Enjoyed the round. All in all course in good shape. Fairways coming in nicely. Greens in good shape, but slow and fluffy.
No Driving range and the putting green had no holes to practice on before the round.
Highly recommend
This course is great. I never played it when it was in the bad shape that I’ve read about, but I’ve enjoyed playing it a few times this year. The value can’t really be beat. I’ll continue to look for opportunities to play here.
Also, the bbq is amazing.
Some fair ways have some bad spots but for the most part in excellent shape. Definitely the best condition I’ve seen in the past couple years.
Not bad
Read some of the older reviews talking about the terrible shape the course was in and even heard the same from a couple of my local golfing buddies. With the $17 hot deal it was worth trying it out. I was happy to see that the course was in excellent shape. Fairways were green with a few rough spots but every course has some. Greens were really soft and needed a cut but they rolled true and it didn't hurt the round at all. There seems to be more than your average amount of local duffers at this course and the pace of play suffered a lot from it. A few of them were in sleeveless t shirts and there were even 2 groups of 5 that made it out in front of us. All of that aside I will absolutely be going back to play this course on a less busy weekday so I can properly enjoy the round.
