Worst course in the area by far. Spend your time and money elsewhere

Bad Fairways
Wilmette golf course has been invaded by Tall Fescue. There are thousands of clumps in every fairway. Additionally, fairways are very shaggy!

Great course, expensive carts
Good course, kept in shape and a lot of fun. Good pace of play. Only complaint is that $40 for a cart seems a little much.

Has gone downhill over the years
The fairways are in mediocre shape. They redid this course a number of years ago and brought it back too fast. I ca think of 10 courses on the North Shore I would play before this.

Hot game in Wilmette
Beautiful weather, but extremely hot day.
Facility is great, range and putting area are perfect to warm-up.
The course design is interesting and not over challenging, even though you will face trees, water and bunkers, including fairway ones.
The fairways' cut could have been better as the grass was a bit long in many areas. The rough is probably the greatest challenge. Do not trust its look, it is dense and you have to have a good ball contact to get out of it.
Good experience overall.
