With the amount of rain we got in the Morning
The course was in great shape even after the amount of rain we got in the morning. Will come back again and recommend to others. Thanks
perfect sunday
Everyone was super friendly. The course was very well maintained and for the higher range pricing I can say it was worth it. I'd recommend a round of golf at Seven Bridges any day.
Great time, great course
I played here with three buddies on July 5th 2014. The course is in excellent shape. It's very challenging and for a group of 7-12 index golfers we all shot our higher rounds for the year but the course is fair but will eat you up with errant golf shots. Lots of water. I really enjoyed many holes that made you strategically place your shots. This is NOT a grip it and rip it course. There are par 5's that you will be placing your 2nd shot with a 7 or 8'iron and par 4 s where a 4 or 5 iron is the best shot selection off the tee. Highly recommend if you want to have a great time and donate a few balls to the water gods!
We had the course to ourselves on a beautiful Sunday afternoon
We played as a threesome at 11 am on a hot sunny Sunday. One group a few holes in front - we caught up to their hole but did little waiting. One group behind - never played on the same hole as us. Pace was very relaxed. We finished in under 4 hours. Course was in great shape. The (somewhat) higher greens fees are well worth it for the quality of the course and the spacing between groups.
Nice course
I really enjoy this course. However I would not recommend getting out after there is something like 3 inches of rain in a short couple days. Many of the bunkers where ponds and parts of the course were partially flooded. That said I feel it drained better than many courses would have under the conditions. Still a nice course with some challenging approach shots as well as greens. It's not difficult to navigate and other golfers were courteous (3 foursomes offered to let our twosome play thru). The food is good for a quick bite at the turn or great for a meal after or just a drink. Nice views.
beautiful course
It's well-maintained beautiful course, only 20 miles outside of Chicago. Don't get fooled by the relatively easy front nine holes. All the bridges (thus the course name, Seven Bridges - the ranger told me there are more than seven bridges; i lost count) are in the back nine! As one can imagine, it become much more challenging for the back nine. Each hole presents its challenges and makes things interesting. My group had a great time, though our scores didn't reflect it. If you want a high-quality golf course not too far from the city, you may want to give this course a try. Super friendly and helpful staff. The green fee is a bit stiff (~ $100), but i think it's worth it.
Beautiful Course
Haven't played there in about 10 years. Couse is in good condition, very beautiful.
Overall an excellent day of golf
Course was in good shape with only issue the rough on front side needed cutting. It was cut on backside. Nice people, nice course but foresome in front of us (we were a twosome) was very slow and never even thought about letting us through. Marshall tried to get them moving without success
not up to par
I've played here a dozen times in the last two years. One of the nicer courses in the area but I was disappointed with some conditions yesterday, all bunkes were unplayable, pace of play was initially good until the back nine where it took over two and a half hours. Did not see the cart girl once after the front side. It was only 90 degrees out.
Pros
Greens are the quickest I've played.
Course is visually pleasing.
Seven Bridgees Review
The course was in so-so condition on the greens but is a beautiful course. The course play was 4 1/2 hours and being early in the season I am sure we were slower than usually but felt very much that the pace was off because they allowed so many twosome's on the course. Of course of this level on weekends should NOT allow that many twosome's since you feel pressure to let them play thru and then you are looked at poorly that you are slowing play up. Didn't think the value of the course was worth the money.
Great course
Always a challenge for me. Fairways and greens are in great shape. A bit pricey but a treat to play here.
Beautiful Day!
Had not played Seven Bridges since early in the 70's, we found the staff and course conditions excellent. Having a Senior rate was awesome.
Overall great experience
Got a great deal on Golfnow and took full advantage. Even though it is still early in the season the course was in great shape and the greens were lightening fast.
Customer is first
We were trying to reserve a tee time on Friday for a postes deal on Golf Now. Seven Bridges posted in error a senior deal for last Friday. It wouldn't let me in so I called golf now. Seven bridges said this was posted deal wasn't available on Fridays. The nice thing they had sold the tee time we wanted but gave us another a bit later.
Course was in amazing shape for spring. Greens had good pace. Back nine ate my lunch. Wish they had a range
Challenging
I am an 11 hcp, and this course is an excellent challenge for my game. Follow the GPS prompts, it helps. The greens were in good condition for early in the year, I am looking forward to seeing this course when they get faster.
very nice course
early season grass still coming in. Course was in good condition
Seven Birdies!
Great golf course. The only downside really is that there is not a driving range to warm up at. They do have a small practice green, but that's about it. They keep the course in great shape. The front and back nines change the scenery of the round. The front side is wooded, the back winds through a marshy area. While there is some water on the front, the back nine has water come into play on most holes. Other than the first hole, the par fives offer risk-reward second shots. The greens roll quick and true, and unlike a lot of courses in the area, have a lot bite to them. If you haven't played here before, it's worth the green fee. And always a plus in my book, they honor the veterans on the ninth green with an American flag.
Better than expected
I had always heard how nice of a course this was and have lived in the area for years but never played it. During the peak season, it's pretty expensive but currently they have a $50 for all the holes you can play in a day going.
There's a lot of water and some very cool elevation changes. Highly recommend.
ok - if you get a deal
Course is ok for a significant discount. If it is full price - Cantingy is much better and for much lower cost the Cog Hill #2 course is a way better deal.
Great course, and a great deal if purchased through GolfNow
I don't really give any course 5 stars, but this one is a jem. Everything was in great shape, although a little damp from the rain in the past few days. Can't believe even at a nice course like this people don't fix ball marks, but that is not the course's fault. Nice layout, but feels like a split personality course since the front and back nice are completely different, Anyone know if this was two courses at one time, and merged? Normally very expensive by a great deals can be had through GolfNow.
