July 2, 2013 Seven Bridges
Seven Bridges is the tale of two nine's and one maintenance issue. The front nine starts out with an uphill par 5. This is my favorite nine with a mix of difficult 1,7,8,9 and strategic holes 2.4 and 5.The greens were quick, in great shape and putted well. The back nine is a bit quirky....couple of the holes have odd angles to play.
The one maintenance issue was that some of the bunkers did not have much, or seemingly any, sand in the bottoms. You got to clay pretty quick.
Overall the course was in very good shape. The staff and facilities are excellent. I will be happy to go back and play this course soon.
Fun but challenging.
Front nine very playable. Back nine lots of water but fair.
Course needs work
The course needs more attention.I got a hot deal for$70 bucks and I would only rate this course for $45 max.I have played many other courses In the Midwest that were in pristine condition for the money spent. The greens were like putting on the kitchen floor. The bunkers need better sand. There could be a lot more foliage and flowers considering they have more than half the holes with free water running through the course.
Big difference btw front 9 and back 9.
Front nine is fair and enjoyable. Back nine tough-weaved back and forth over water. Sand traps were not well maintained-- hard clay underneath. Course demands accuracy. If not accurate, there will be many blind shots. GPS is a must.
As long as keeping the low price, it would be great!
Please try to avoid the CarT Pathy Only as best as you can.
tick tock
In the courses defense it has rained quite a bit lately. However, the greens were pretty chewed up which was frustrating. In addition, the 5:20 minute round was painful. I realize that 10 am tee time on Saturday will be slow, but this was terrible. Everywhere I looked golfers were waiting to shoot. Figured we would be OK to play 18 and then catch the Blackhawks game (4pm) by the time we got out it was almost game time, resulting in listening to the 1st period in the car
Good course
Good course looking forward to another round later this year.
Nice course will manicured
I did play this course multiple times I do make arrangement for golf outing in the golf course the staff very friendly and knowledgeable I do invite friends to play that course for the challenge and the service.
Tough but exciting layout.
Conditions were bad because of the severe flooding recently, however this is a very nice course, and well designed. I will try it again this season.
the course needs much work because of the rain, not by their poor maintenance
we enjoyed the couse just the same and hope that the course will recover soon with better weather.
Nice course
Nice course overall. Very challenging, especially if you're not accurate off the tee. A few spots are still recovering the flood, but very well maintained otherwise. Pace was good, 10 minute tee times are a plus. Houses only come into play on one or two holes also a plus. Their regular rates seem a little steep, but would certainly play again if I found another GolfNow deal.
nice course ,would like to see it in summer
nice course to play.It will be much better when its got leaves and the course was dry.I went on cold ,windy and wet day and it was in ok condition
This course has great features
Second time at sevenbridge. Very changing and beautiful course.
Try the Veal
One of my Top 5 public courses to play in Illinois. I've played this course for the past three years and not once have I been disappointed. The course conditions are immaculate, my favorite greens to play on, the speed coincides nicely with the break and consistency is true throughout. The course presents some challenging waters holes, yet they are manegable for the intermediate to the overzealous golfer. The bar/food prices are more than reasonable and quality is superior to even the priciest golf courses. This course is tough to beat for the price, service and quality. PLAY IT
A top 12 Chicago area public venue. Well maintained.
Interesting challenging holes... half of which the east branch of the DuPage river come into play.
not as good as they say
again this course has a good lay out but it was not in good condition when i went. also i do not think this place it worth full price if you can get around 50 to 60 i will be close to worth playing there.
Good Front. Poor back nine!
Front nine is a good test of golf. The first 6 holes on the back nine are tricked up to compensate for the lack of land they had to work with.
Seven Bridges is a terrific course. The front nine is fun, but the back nine is a killer. There is a lot of water and absolutely no bailouts.
My playing partner and I got to play this course on an absolutely beautiful day. It was my first time there, and I was very impressed with how well the course was maintained. Shot well on the front nine, and felt that it was very fairly laid out. I'm about a six handicap, and the coarse met my expectations. The back nine was a bit of a different story, mainly because I had never shot there before, and didn't know where to layup safely. Lost a few balls, and my temper on some holes, but that's just the way the game goes sometimes. I'll certainly be better prepared the next time I play it, now knowing where to properly place it. Definitely give this course a whirl, and good luck and that back nine. JK .
Excellent
Had been dying to try this course and it didn't disappoint. Staff was friendly and helpful. Course was gorgeous with plenty of challenges. Outdoor bar was also nice and food there was way above standard bar fare. Can't wait to go back.
