Plum Creek Golf Club
About
Opened in 1998, this Pete Dye design has hosted several high-level college and professional golf tournaments while simultaneously serving thousands of enthusiastic amateur golfers throughout greater Indianapolis and beyond. With five sets of tees ranging from just under 7,000 yards to just over 5,000, Plum Creek is playable by all golfers. Several ponds and a winding stream come into play throughout the course, placing a premium on smart play, all while minimizing the need for forced carries for higher-handicap players.

GPS needed
Would have liked a GPS system on board the carts. Diagram of the greens and fairways need more descriptive visuals.
Decent for the price
This place is "semi-private", which means the members think they deserve special treatment. They think they can jump in front of you in line for food/beverage and hop on the tee in front of you, even if you have a tee time and they don't. The first hole is a driveable par 4, which makes sure no one goes off by their tee time. Pace of play was slow. The front 9 is bland. Not exactly Pete Dye's "A" material. The back 9 is more interesting. Greens were decent, but did have a bunch of ball marks. If you've got all day, don't mind being treated second class, and can get a good price, it's okay. I will play one of the other many nearby courses next time, though.
Fun to play, relatively short course
Plum Creek is alot of fun to play. It has some unique layouts and overall is very well maintained. The rough can be somewhat punishing but most holes are easy driving holes with iron of the tee often an option.
Awesome Course in Fantastic Conditions
This is probably as close to a PGA quality course that is accessible to the public in Indianapolis. The fairways and greens were in top notch shape. Just feels good to play at courses like this every once in a while at a fair price. I found the sand once and I wish all courses had sand like this.
Rain soaked day
Pros:
course in good shape overall for amount of rain, free range balls
Cons:
needs GPS, bunkers have no drainage most full of water , rough very high
Excellent course- multiple tees tees
Course was in excellent condition after all the rain we have had. Greens were not super fast but could be. Greens large with multiple contours.
Really nice course. Very well maintained and staffed!
Probably my favorite course in the area. I hope to play it several times this year.
I would not recommend paying regular price for this course but with the golfnow discount it is reasonable
The golf course was in decent shape considering it is the middle of November. The greens were rough and obviously had not been mowed or rolled for awhile. The sand traps had not been raked for several days. It looks like most of the greenskeepers crew has been layed off for the season so the upkeep is poor at this time.
It is a clean, well-maintained course
I think one of the courses on behalf of the indiana.
It is a nice course fee but it was worth the higher.
I am very convenient to use and free practice field.
Not your classic Dye Course
Booked a tee time for 1 player hoping to get paired up with someone, ended up in a foursome. It was a a pleasure to play another Pete Dye course, even though holes 12-13 were not able to be played due to aeration. I loved the layout of the course and it wasn't too long from the tips. Great deals are available if you're able to play weekdays. Can't wait to play again this coming Thursday!!
A P. DYE DESIGN.
ALTHOUGH THE COURSE WAS WET FROM THE OVER NIGHT RAINS, THE COURSE WAS IN VERY GOOD CONDITIONS. I ENJOYED THE DAY DESPITE THE STRONG WINDS.
