With the weather we been having, I felt the course was fine. The greens in spots could use some help. The front desk help could be a lot better at customer service.
Rumors are true sadly
Been hearing this place has been going downhill and experienced it myself. Glad I got a deal rate instead of normal because it would’ve been worse. Greens have issues. Almost disease like. Fairways and rough are indistinguishable crabgrass and clover. Lots of mud as well and hadn’t rained. Course is up for sale and hopefully someone buys and turns it around with the $500k homes they’re building or probably just be turned into more subdivisions. Sad as it was a good course long ago.
Outing wouldn’t let me play
Horrible experience. They had an outing scheduled and our 3 some was not able to play our tee time. You should not be able to book a tee time if there’s an outing on the course. Poor customer experience
Showed up for my tee time and was told we could not play because there was an outing. We should not be able to book a tee time and pay the convenience fee only to show up and not be able to play.
Very nice course
Could not believe there were only a hand full of people on the course on the 4th of July. We played in well under 4 hours. With all the recent rain, the course was very playable. Greens could use a little work as they appear to have been hit by some sort of disease. Will play here again for sure.
Never again
$50 on a Wednesday no senior rate, no one ever answers the phone, green's are in horrible shape, holes all over the course wating for someone to break an ankle. Never again.
Fairways are MUD , Rude Staff, Greens are OK
Fairways are literally mud. The only good part of this course was the greens were challenging and rolling good. Staff was super rude. I think one angry dude runs the show there. about a 1 hour drive from Chicago
Crabgrass Paradise
The course is in rough shape, extremely dry and loaded with crabgrass. Fairways were non-existent since they looked to not been mowed for a least a week. Greens were in fairly good shape and rolled true.
Horrible staff
This course does not accept Golf now reservations anymore. Didn't honor the golf now price and didn't care about what time they showed up to open the place. Waited 25 minutes after our tee time to someone to open the place to get the cart. Won't be going back. Good thing I didn't pay for a membership, based on this experience, it would have been a huge disappointment.
This course has some issues
I don't know if they have sprinklers the whole course was hard as a rock. We purchased a twosome and it took 8 holes before the foursome ahead of us let us play through and that was only because the ranger made them.

Average course, wet conditions. The ruff could use a mow.

When we arrived to the course there was not one cart available! The pro shop guy said who knows when one will be available and if the owner doesn't care neither does he !I also had my 3 year old daughter with me and my buddy to ride along (she rides along all the time). he said he thought it was stupid to bring a child to the golf course . The overall ecperince was bad. The female bartender was friendly to us tho when we got snacks!
Fun Course
I've been golfing Summertree a long time and it is currently in the best condition I have ever seen it. It's well taken care of and a fun local course. It's very open, so not the most challenging, but it's always a good time.
