Horrendous Guest Management
This past weekend, three guys and I had a tee time at Wicker Memorial Park golf for Saturday morning. We reserved our tee time earlier in the week and were looking forward to our weekend round. We arrived at the course (after driving 45+ minutes from Chicago) Saturday morning just to find out the course was closed due to flooding. We did not received a single call, email, or other notification about the closing - even though we booked our tee time with a phone number and an email address. Additionally (and making matters much worse) when we called the pro shop Saturday morning and found out the course was closed, the pro noted the course had been closed since Thursday. I received a confirmation email on FRIDAY about out tee time!! So not only did they NOT notify us about the closing, they even sent a confirmation email AFTER THE COURSE WAS CLOSED. It was absolutely ridiculous guest management. Going forward this course needs to drastically improves it's customer relations, or there will be no more customers left.

Course was closed and they don’t notify players on GolfNow
Drove all the way out to Indiana only to find out the course was closed for weather. Without any notification. When I got there the guy in the pro shop said “they couldn’t get ahold of GolfNow players”
Wicker Park Memorial Golf Course
This course is a favorite among the golfers I know. Classic layout, challenging as well. Great staff. What more can you ask for. Book a tee time, if you're not satisfied with your round, next round is on me.
What an experience!
I drove here from Chicago twice to play...
1st time I booked on golfnow and when I showed up the course was closed to the public.
2nd time, a week later, I tried again and the course was open. However they were completely over booked.
Needless to say I was frustrated not being able to play a full 18 and also not having a cart.
So you may ask, why I gave this place 5 stars on everything. Well, while I was venting about my frustration (although understanding on their issues having just re opened, the manager/ owner of the course was phenomenal! Not only did he let me vent, (which was totally un needed of him) but understood my frustration and refused to take our money for the round. The understanding and professionalism that he and his employees have made the experience amazing all around and earned themselves repeat business for life from me and my friends. People do business with people and business is business. Sometimes business works well, sometimes it doesn’t, but the people and the service they provide is what life is all about.
Not the best course I’ve ever played, not the best organization I’ve experienced, but by far the best service and that’s more than enough for me.
I love these guys and this course. Do yourself and this business a favor during these hard times and get out to play here. This is the kind of business that deserves and earns their success. Kudos to you guys and looking forward to playing here again this weekend
Wicker park Golf
Despite the moral compass being challenged with this historic virus and quarantine orders the staff at this golf course were amazingly and compassionately helpful as needed. The course was in great shape minus the usual golfers but very appreciated by .myself and I'm sure those who were out today. Hey, thanks so much Wicker staff youre the best. Im looking forward to the next round with you all.
fun course in a park setting
Due to the covid-19 pandemic , the course facility made every precaution to get golfers out on the course in a safe manner . very friendly and efficient .The course was in very good physical condition. Some interesting hole layouts , with doglegs and creek running through a few . Greens were in excellent shape , fairways cut a little long , and rough cut so you wouldn't lose a ball in it .
Diamond in the rough
Course played well and the pace was excellent
Employees were very good and accommodating
Will definitely play here again
Course is closed and should stay closed
Don’t know why tee times are being sold if the course is closed. I don’t see tee times Available for other golf courses that are closed. The driving range is Also closed until June. Try out Centennial, Sherwood, Palmira or Turkey Creek.
Course Wasnt Even Open
I booked a round at this course and drove 35 minutes from chicago. I arrived only to find that it was still closed. I'm not sure why they would be listed as open on GolfNow.... I ran into other groups of people who were in the same boat. By the time I got back to chicago and was able to access my appointment, I was unable to cancel/modify and have been charged. Incredibly disappointed by this, I know that COVID has affected everyone but I cant imagine why the course would list themselves as open and continue to remain that way on the app.
Arrived and it was closed
Drive over an hour from Chicago to play with my fiancé. Arrived and security says it’s closed and golfnow won’t take it off their site.
Wish I could have played
Wish I had a review of the course. I booked through Golf Now and when I showed up, they were still closed. I was told that they informed Golf Now that they would be closed through 5/11 and not to book tee times. Now there is no easy way to contact anyone at Golf Now to get my refund. I’ve always loved utilizing their service, but in light of what I see as blatant steeling, I doubt I ever will again. The person I spoke to at Wicker was nice though...for what that’s worth
Horrible Management
Drove all the way out to be told I couldn't play. Management has no idea how to run a business.
Course closed
Next time, don’t let me book a tee time if the course is closer. Bad management on wicker park for telling me the course will be open. Bad management on Golf Now for letting me book the tee time. Waste of my time and others. It was too late to go anywhere else.
