Great shape
Course is in great shape. Staff is very friendly. Course seems to get better every time I'm there.
Great course.
Great course to play, well maintained. Definitely will get a chance to use all of your clubs, has some nice long 500+ yard holes. No need to worry about "proper golf attire", able to get a round in after work without having to worry about changing clothes. I will be playing this 1 again.
Wicker Park is a good play!
Course was in decent shape. Busy. Had to wait behind another group several times. Some interesting holes with challenges.
Great course - Great Value
Book on a hot deal. Beautiful day. Very well kept course. Super nice staff as well as other players. Nice course to cut your golf teeth on.
straight forward course
Course was in good shape, fairly straight forward, and the staff was terrific.
Always Feel Welcome
I have played this course four times this year and have found it to be a great experience in both course conditions and customer service.
It seems the last few seasons the availability of being able to refresh yourself with a snack or beverage while playing has been neglected by most courses. Not so here at Wicker; even on weekdays late in the afternoon their cart beverage person has been available throughout the round.
Also, the whole staff has been friendly and accommodating upon every visit! The greens are in great shape and a pleasure to putt on.
Beautiful scenery
I always enjoy playing here. Quite challenging from any tee box. Greens were very quick.
it was dry!
there's been a lot of rain here, many inches over multiple days and the course was extremely dry; we were quite pleased!
The issue was, the water cows were all missing.
Having just played 18 on Saturday; we were surprised to find the cows removed.
Had the beverage cart been a tad quicker...
OVERALL VERY HAPPY!!
We will play there again!
It was what we expected
Good conditions, slow pace as usual, staff allowed a five some to go out in front of us on a Friday afternoon. Course was already jammed enough. 5-10 minute wait on every shot and about 15 minutes per tee.
Cotton wood and dandelions
So much cotton wood like playing in two inches of snow. Fairways ok but just off loaded with dandelions! Cut the grass use some weed killer .
decent course for the money
The course is in decent shape this year they are doing some minor fixes due to the construction they had on the property but for the money you can't beat it go play and have a good time
Average at best
Nothing special, muni course with no pro shop or clubhouse.
Great times
The overall experience was great, the best was the golf now $9.00 price.
Never Better
I have been golfing at Wicker for over 30 years and it is no longer the most unfriendly course in the area. The staff is great and I have never seen the course being taken care of like this, down to the last leaf. Keep up the great job.
Long course allows you to use all clubs in your bag.
Love playing this course which is also close to my home.
you get what you pay for
not particularly hard, greens a tad slow, lots of dead areas throughout course, pace of play was super fast. played 18holes w/cart in a little over 2hrs and that was because I had to wait on last two holes. a lot of stray singles and 2somes that did not want to play w/this single in mid afternoon. could not figure that out..average course for $30 ..a lot of better choices closer to home for a little less.
fairways in great shape
enjoyed a round of golf with my son. back nine is little harder.
great deal
The course was crowded but our foursome played in less than four hours. Well maintained greens and old trees require straight play. Bunkers need some attention, but overall an incredible deal for less than ten dollars with a cart.
Could be better
For $20, I should not complain. However, this course is typically overcrowded and the patrons don't fix ball marks. The course has actually improved from several years ago, but I do not like to play there too often because it is too darn packed. I have always liked the lay out at Wicker Park, and it has a lot of potential.
darn creek
The course was very good. the most difficult aspect of the course was the crick that runs through out the course...I drove the crick and lost my ball several times...a six pack of beer was pretty cheep for a course.
