Golf Pro changed my previous opinion
Golf pro called me to address and make right my previous complaint.
Garbage
Course was overbooked, took 4 hours for my foursome to finish 9 holes. Asked the pro shop if we could come back and finish our next 9 another time, staff was very rude and not helpful. Waste of 41 dollars on a terrible conditioned over booked course. Never coming back.
Nice Course for Price
Nice course. Played all the time years ago in 70's. Improvement from last time played a few years ago when the city was thinking of selling. Note: I made a mistake on the date and played course with one other on Monday the 17th. Payed senior rate of $34. Would like a reimbursement to my credit card for the two green fees please. Not in the best shape
I’ve played Elbel quite a few times but I haven’t seen the course in the shape it was recently. The rough was quite long, which I don’t mind, but it looked like you could see every cart track within the last week which made for some really bad lies. The ground in the rough and fairway was like cement. The grass in front of a lot of greens was spotty at best. The greens were in great shape but like I said the overall course wasn’t.

Nice track for the money
Interesting elevation changes for normally flat Indiana. Good grass and accepting grrens make this a good value.

The grass was too long near the greens. Ball got buried in the grass so often and really were not that far off line. Impossible to get a good chip

Huge disappointment
Course is in horrible shape, rough is overgrown, fairways are burnt and grassless.
pace of play was almost 5 hours and as usual no one has any golf etiquette to let faster players play through, I'm very disappointed because it used to be a fun course to play .

Slow pace
The course was over booked and there was a golf league playing that I wasn’t warned about. The round was going so slow I attempted to get a rain check for 9 holes but was told to play. After the turn I played more two holes before quitting because so long.

Friends day of golf
We had a fun day golfing with friends! Course I’m great shape but deep grass tough to get out of if not in fairways!

Elbel Course
This is very nice course and they have some excellent greens that run fast! Nice layout. Only downside is Tuesday mornings they have a women's league and the pace was extremely slow 2 hours 20 minutes for front 9 and 1.5 hours for back nine...
