Good condition considering the weather
The course was in pretty good condition considering the time of year and the weather in the area. It was a surprise how fast the greens were this early in the season.

Close to very good
the course plays fair the par threes are some of the toughest around . the course needs some major work is a few areas .1) the pond needs to be dug out so it can hold more water there are wash outs behind it where it over flows and over floes down into other fairways. there needs to be another pond /water reserve dug out by 17 and 17 to stop and hold all the water that floods a number of holes

Nice end of season day at Erskine
Sunny and a little windy but this is as good as it’s going to be until next summer. Fairways and greens cut and almost perfect, few leaves down yet. If my game had been in as good shape as the course I’d have been really happy.

Incompetent staff
We reserved a tee time for 18 holes. Front nine pace of play was great. At the turn, a high school golf match was teeing off on 10, with holes 10 and beyond backed up with golfers. The pro shop attendant who had taken our greens fees was clueless and unapologetic., although the friendly food service person was apologetic without any means to correct the problem. The attendant gave us a 9 hole rain check without comment.
