Oxmoor Country Club

The course is in fantastic shape. There isn't really a bad hole on the course, but some local knowledge will help on a lot of the holes. You can hit the fairway and be in a bad spot for your approach to the green. With the numerous sets of tees, the course can play as challenging as you want it to be.

Put it this way, the course was so good and the experience so exceptional that I joined immediately after I walked off the 18th hole.

Course was in mediocre shape and was very path only. Wasn't worth $60. Pace of play was what you expect for cart path only. Course was dry so we were dumbfounded and on top of the price, we won't be back.

Fairways are burnt, very little grass. With this course being a country club, I expected the condition of the course to better than it was. Also, they don’t have liquor license currently. $56 per golfer is a ridiculous price considering the shape of course. If I was a member of this country club, I would seriously consider finding a new club.

I do not ever do reviews, even when things are pretty bad, but I felt awful for anyone that actually pays money for a membership to this country club. Every Louisville Metro Golf Course is in better shape than this course for half the price. Fairways were dead in most spots, and not mowed in spots that did have grass. Tee boxes were overgrown, and more crabgrass than than any actual grass. It is disappointing that the practice facilities are more well kept than the golf course. The course layout is also very confusing and was overbooked at our tee time. Overall, extremely disappointing for the money we paid.

The fairways are mostly dirt. Not well maintained at all.

Summer and the recent lack of rain has really put a hurt on the fairways. Most are burnt up with less than 50% of playable grass. Normally this course is in good condition but it’s going to take a while to bring it back. Guys were working on it today.

I payed a 49 dollar "Hot Deal" for a foursome today. I have played here before and it USED to be a pretty nice golf course. The conditions are terrible. The fairways are about half burned out and the rough obviously never gets cut. I guess if you never water a course you don't need to cut it. My daughter was with us and she felt ill and went in after the first 9 holes and there were no seats or couches in the women's locker room and there was also no air conditioning in use. This is awful and I suppose it is just waiting to be turned into lots for homes. For a total of 222 dollars for four after fees and taxes I would just say that I could have spent half that amount for a much better experience at a public metro course. I did rate excellent on the pace of play because there were hardly any other people playing! I guess everyone else knows what I just found out. It says Oxmoor Country Club but it should say Oxmoor Country cow pasture!

Greens were good, but the fairways and tees were in bad shape. A LOT of grass has died during the summer. It was nice in early summer, and may be again next year. But not now.

The course in really ROUGH shape. We booked on GolfNow, $65 for 18 holes with a cart, not worth it.

Wonderful layout but the fairways are void of any grass and weeds everywhere

Had a good time, course is in B/B+ condition. Fairways are a little burnt up, which forced us to play cart path only. Greens are a bit beat, but in good shape. Buddy hit a Hole in One on 16. Overall a good course, not perfect though.

Second time playing oxmoor today and I remember why I booked it the first time. You can tell back when it was private it was a stellar course, but the condition has fallen off just a bit. I love the layout here as it makes you use less than driver off the tee quite frequently.

Condition-wise, it is much better than when I played here around a year ago. From distance I was nervous. There were some pretty good brown spots in the fairways, but that was all I could find over the round that was bad. Bunkers were fresh sand, tee boxes in good shape overall, greens rolled quick and true besides a few dead spots.

Overall, a very fun afternoon of golf on a course that is different from others in the area.

I brought my brother into town to play golf, and he wanted to play a nice course. I chose oxmoor because it has been an amazing track in years past. I hadn’t played in a couple years, and I’m pretty certain I’ll never play it again. This place was an absolute dog track. Literally the worst I’ve seen a course since some of the ones recently that went under. I paid $120+ for us to play, not including the food and drinks. It was not worth $10. The greens rolled about 4. Terrible condition. The entire course was a train wreck. Barely playable. I went in to the clubhouse to speak to the pro about my embarrassment of bringing a guest to play a “nice” course, only to be met with these deplorable conditions...His response...”ok”. Not, I’m so sorry, let us make this right...rather....”ok”. Smh. Please save your money. My guess is that until it folds, or is bought by someone who cares enough to spend the money to grow grass, this place will continue to decline.

The course is up for sale and in pathetic condition. This is supposed to be a country club and it was more like an unkept public corse. It was cart path only on a dried out course with a heat index of 104 I will never play this course again or recommend it to friends.

Was in town for Run 4 the Roses and had time to play 18 holes brmetween games. Great choice

Course was in excellent shape and pro was extremely helpful. I would recommend and will be playing again

As all other courses in the area - rain and weather has the bunkers and greens in less than optimal shape.

My first time there, and really enjoyed the course. The fairways are mostly bentgrass and in good shape, and offered pretty tight lies on most shots. The pros would love this but at my higher handicap I ended up with quite a few "fat" shots. The bunkers were in good shape and the greens were fairly quick but consistent and not overly undulated. The crowd was sparse on this warm Thursday noon-time, and our three-some zipped right around in about 3 hours. I got a good price with a hot deal and cashing in some rewards, but at the regular price I would have to play here rather sparingly, but I will be back.
