Average course for the area with above average greens. Layout is kind of wonky and different, definitely a short course but it’s a good place to play.

Back 9 is way better than the front in my opinion. Semi regular course that I play and will keep coming back for the price.

I knew very little about the course when I arrived for my weekend round. I chose the course based on the aerial of it and that it appeared the greens were raised / had a lot of character. I was not disappointed. What I found was a river valley course that had an abundance of unique golf holes, greens that were elevated / modern / tons of undulation and even had a par three up in the hills with views for miles around.

This course is a must play if in the area. The conditions, layout, and greens all make it worth the visit.

I live in Huntington, WV. I live too far from this course but drove over on a Saturday morning. It is close to a 40-minute drive. The distinction between the fairway and rough was minimal, though the greens were in great condition with distinguishable fringe and pristine bunkers (credit there). I did not finish my round as a squall thunderstorm blew up as I finished Hole 11 -- I didn't want to recreate the Caddyshack scene (this is the best game of my life!) Overall, if I lived closer, I would not mind playing this course consistently.

This course features soem of the best maintained greens in the area - they are tricky and challenging if you are on the wrong side of the hole.

It's still early in the year and the fairways have not fully come in yet, but you can see/feel that this is a quality course that will challenge most based on the tee you select.

We had a good time in this course. Was in good shape and the greens were awesome. Loved the ridge top par 3 hole. The people there were extremely friendly.

A very friendly and comfortable place, which I appreciate as a player that has just picked the game back up after 15 years. Greens are in terrific shape. Fairways and tees ok. Playable for sure and my sense is they are working their tails off to improve overall condition, which is another thing that I appreciate. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first played there but River Bend is definitely going to be a regular spot. As a player whose goal is to just break 90, it’s a great place to play. I suspect good players will find something to like as well.

It was enjoyable and relaxing the pace of play was a little bit slow because of the amount of people playing but over all a good place

Have played this course at least once a year for the
past 12 years. It was in the best shape I have ever
seen. Short course, you can leave the driver in the
bag on most of the back nine, but small greens make it no pushover. With course conditions this
nice, it was extremely fun to play.

This course has a great set up... The greens are beat to death, the fairways are spotty, and the water looks like trash... Looks like a lot of projects are started then stopped and never completed... Not sure if the money's just not there or what... But it's a fun track, it's got a lot of potential to be the best in the area

Crab grass fairways and poor greens. Lots of dead grass from mowing the fairways looked liked getting ready to bail hay.
Course design is pretty neat.
