A Must Play
Rolling hills and views for as long as the eye can see. Truly a must play in the Cincinnati area. Course layout was great, greens rolled true. Fairways and tee boxes were good. Professional staff very welcoming. I will certainly will be back but this time have lunch and play 36.

Fantastic condition
Best I’ve ever seen the Course especially the greens which were smooth and fast! Kudos to Jeff and his crew!

A bunch of positives with this course including that it was very well maintained along with consistent greens. One negative was that the course was overbooked. Pace of play was on the slow side and a lot of waiting around happened.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Solid track and great staff
Played the first time and found the staff friendly and the course conditions in excellent shape. Just moved here from the East coast and Hickory Sticks is the best track I've played to date since we moved. Tees, fairways, and the greens were very well maintained and the pace of play was fine. A bit out of the way but well worth the extra travel time. Looking forward to playing again soon.

Hickory Sticks is a Public Gem in the Cincinnati Region
It's a hilly course, that's narrow with water. Not for the faint of the heart. That being said, This course is in very good condition with fast greens, well-cut fairways and tee boxes. Definitely a shot-makers course, don't use your driver on every par 4 or even 5. Higher-handicappers can still enjoy the course, it's not THAT narrow.
For the sake of your own sanity be below the hole. The greens are fast and hilly as the course defense mostly sloping from front to back. Better to be short of the green in the fringe than on the backside of just about any green.
Overall, Hickory Sticks is always a pleasure to go play. The views are amazing. In 18 years of playing golf around the region I've never seen the course in bad shape. It's out in the sticks so no houses which is great; you're out in a wooded hilly area. The staff is welcoming and accomodating, the food is good and cheap.
The biggest knock is the one (1) lane rd to get to the course, it's like driving in Ireland.

Excellent Course
Course was in excellent shape and a very scenic course (county course and not a home anywhere). Topography is hilly, but the course doesn't play hilly.
