University Club of Kentucky - Wildcat Course

Course was in very poor shape. Fairways were terrible, greens were dry… many better options in the area

The course has an interesting layout, several holes are doglegs. But the conditions are far below what they should be for the cost. The rough is very long, but inconsistent from hole to hole. The greens are a little better, but just a little more attention could go a long way. The carts have GPS that are supposed to keep you from driving in restricted areas, but all they really do is lock up suddenly on the path and you have to call the clubhouse to get it unlocked. The Big Blue course is much nicer, and it's a shame the Wildcat is so neglected.

Enjoyed a great round of golf. Greens were fast with challenging pin placement. Definitely a play again course.

A nice course we were teamed up with a couple young locals who were friendly and helpful to play here. Pace of play was slow, golf etiquette is lacking by people who don’t play ready golf. 5-10 minute wait per shot. Otherwise a great place to play.

Enjoyed the round, very accommodating staff, I lost a few balls in the uncut roughs by the side of the fairways and greens. I had a slow twosome behind me and my search for the ball delayed even them. Fairway patches all over, dandelions everywhere. I will play again as it is a challenging layout but won’t recommend to a friend.

Just played Wildcat or White course. Great layout and greens in very good shape. However, the balance of the course was poorly maintained. Dandelions, dead not dormant grass, wild rough that hasn’t seen a mower.

Blue course looked amazing, picked the wrong one. No Bev cart either on a Saturday morning

Over three days (3/31-4/2) I played BOTH of the UK courses.- The Wildcat Course and "Blg Blue.." Nearly every fairway on the Wildcat was straight-up DEAD - that would have been acceptable (tough winter-kill conditions) except that "Big Blue" had PERFECT fairways. The difference in greens fee cost is NOTHING when the conditions are so desperately different...

Cart paths are terrible need some serious work done to them

Wildcat and Big Blue are two of my favorite tracks in Lexington. Well maintained and pace of play is usually pretty good.

As a student at UK it is good to have this course as an option to play.

Great course and layout, only problem was that the greens were aerated and it didn’t show up when I booked the tee time so I was surprised. Could be an amazing track if they just took care of it like they used to.

I heard it’s been an exceptionally hot summer and, at times, lots of moisture. Do, burned out and areas of rot. Sections of tee boxes closed. Teeing off from the fairway on 7, maybe? The 3rd or 4th green closed. Not the staff’s fault. Good facility and layout. Might come back by Fall. The Golf Now deal made it a fair deal. Thanks.

Course was in terrible shape. Temporary green and tee on a couple of holes. Tee boxes all crab grass and overall condition extremely poor. Green fees too high for shape and condition of course. Very disappointed for the University course.

Rough is way toooo high for normal play, greens in good shape
