Stay thirsty
Ample water for your balls to drown in but not a single drinking water station on the entire course. In Kentucky in June??? No warnings and could lead to many dehydrated golfers. BRING YOUR OWN DRINKING WATER.
Otherwise nice layout in good condition. Greens a tad pockmarked.
Good condition and friendly staff
Enjoyed my round. Course in good shape and staff friendly
Big Blue
Great course. The only issue was the traps were packed down from rain, but it hadn’t rained in several days.
Very Nice and Fair Course
The UK Blue Course was well groomed but rough was a little strong. The greens were super. Very hilly. Could use some water holes but that was likely the design. Nice carts and GPS. Ball washers and trash containers were sparse. Had a good day with a fellow walk on.
Excellent conditions
Big Blue is in great shape...tees, fairways, rough, and greens. I strongly recommend Big Blue.
Always a treat!
This course never disappoints. Always in great shape. The layout is perfect.
Very nice course.... staff is dreadful
You can tell the people in the golf shop just hate being there. Not helpful, very rude and dry.
Course Has Been in Better Shape
Big Blue is a challenging course & like the layout-greens were in good shape & very quick. The rest of the course-tee boxes, fairways & especially the rough were not in nearly as good a shape as previous times I have played it!
Wonderful Track
I was pleasantly surprised by the layout and the course conditions - especially in light of playing here at the start of Spring. The greens were VERY firm, and the fairways were in remarkably good shape. I estimated the speed at 10 to 11 on the stimpmeter. The staff was professional and courteous. I will certainly come back again!
Unprofessional
Well I booked my time, very early in the morning no one behind me no one in front of me & the green keeper literally followed me around the entire course standing on my green while trying to hit. Leaving his cart in the way of my shots, and staring at me. I was a solo golfer and once again no one in front of behind me, wait until I’m off the hole before you start blowing a leaf blower in my face and standing on my green. I would not recommend this place, I have played before and also had to wait 20 min for every shot due to over booking. I’m done
Solid Course
I play the Big Blue Fairly regularly. I always get paired up with folks and, for the most part, enjoy the company. I was pretty amazed at how well the course looked / played as unbelievably dry as it has been. They've clearly watered the crap out of the course as the greens were receptive and there was very little to no run out on the fairways. This is the nicest public course in the area, by far.
Family golf outing ruined
I am giving this course a 1 star for this reason. Arriving to the course with my family members “ 3 of us” We enter the pro shop to check-in and pay for a bucket of range balls since before I had paid for our group online through golf now 18 holes with carts. $154 in total for the three of us. I check in buy range balls and then told I would only be given 1 cart key. I was then told that I would not get a cart key till the 4th person showed so we “my family members” would not run off and play our round. Immediately I am being categorized as having bad golf educate. A 39 year old man being told that I’m not getting the services I had already paid for does not seem to be good business. First come, first serve I think. I am not going to start our round, we are hitting range balls!!! So I was not able to load my golf bag, load my water cooler and prepare for my round. I of course gave the 1 key the employee gave me to the older gentleman and his son. Because I was treating them… I have given this course my business before and brought them two more business clients and this is how I am treated. I intend on contacting the course manager Phoenix soon to file my complaint.
