Walden Golf Club

I thought the dude in the clubhouse was joking when he checked us in and said the front 9 “sucks” and is super tight

Course layout was fine, it was really hilly with traps abd hazards. Front 9 is very tight tho

Greens were very fast and full of weeds

Got paired up with a G tho and the other golfers we encountered were nice

Im used to cheaper golf around Cleveland. Country club in the name was misleading

Do not waste your money! This course is unkept, overgrown and neighborhood kids hold up play and community people walk their dogs on the course to relieve themselves. Course has potential if money was put towards landscaping.

Walden is a fun track with lots of options to attack the course. Unfortunately, they need to cut the grass more often on the teeboxes and greens as they were both in need of attention.

Walden country club was very pretty and evenly challenging. The bunkers and hazards made for a technical approach with plenty of opportunities to launch a long ball off the tee. This was definitely a thinking man’s course and fun all around.

Had an excellent round, the course was in very good condition and staff was friendly and the amenities were excellent

It took 4 hours to complete 9 holes at this course. Pace of play is absolutely atrocious and the course attracts some major stumblers who take their time and are inconsiderate

Walden can be a bit challenging for new golfers. We had guests with us who were fairly new to the game and the hazards and course layout was a bit challenging. A good course for more experienced golfers.

Walden GC is a very enjoyable course to play. The greens and fairways were in excellent condition when I played on 6.25.25, although the greens were a bit slow and not holding well. The greens were undulating, which is always a plus, but the pin placements were on slopes for several of the greens. This golf course is well worth the trip (I drove all the way from Chantilly, VA; about 70 minutes). Most of the bunkers lacked sand and were mostly raked dirt. Several of the holes had poor directional signage for those who are unfamiliar with the course. The Golfnow price of $30 was also a nice bargain.

Course is in decent shape but greens were very slow which made putting well a challenge. This course has lots of challenges, tight windows, dog legs, strategic water, bunkers and woods. Accuracy required on most holes,

I am a 17 hdcp, 66 yrs old, and played from Gold tees. Greens very bumpy, some bare spots. Also played with 89 yr old mother in law, who had trouble clearing water In front of tees that extended over 100 yds (e.g, hole 11)...need to have a "gray" tee that help people with hdcps over 25. Some ladies tees were tilted and under trees, which inhibited swings.

Walden is very close to our house, and people are nice...but it's narrow, and long for high handicappers. So I rated it in the 3 to 4 star range.

We hadn't played this course in over 20 years as we started a family and moved to Annapolis. We were delightfully surprised and pleased to find the course meticulously maintained! Unfortunately, I took ill around the 3rd hole and didn't complete any more holes (attempted to play the 5th & 6th - but couldn't make it off the tee-box). We had visited Walden one or two times over the course of a decade and thought the clubhouse looked rundown and we assumed that the course was equally in such disarray. A family friend told us the other day, they played the course for the first time and thought it was great - so we checked it out. Hope to play again soon & often.

Course was in good shape. Fairways were cut, the rough was rough and the greens changed up from hole to hole. The carts were new and the staff helpful. I HATE HOLE #2!!!!!!!!!!
