Invasion of high school girls team
We were behind three foursomes of high school girls on a Sunday afternoon. We made the turn and just so happened got in front of one of the foursomes. They were complaining about that and pace of play. Also each group of four players had additional 3 or so people with them. We picked up on 10 and jumped all the way to 15. We finished the round. Sat down for beer and apps and chatted for well over an hour. We noticed right as we were leaving the group we were behind were just finishing up. A course 5800 yards should not take 4.5-5 hours to play. I understand it’s a business but I honestly can’t play here anymore if pace of play is this bad. And this isn’t the first round were it dragged. No one lets people play through. No one on the course to make players play faster. It’s a shame because the course is in great shape and as far as courses are concerned it’s one of my favorites.
The Woodford Club
They punched the greens less than 2 months ago and they now look/play fantastic. Fairways have come in nicely, but still have a couple uneven tee boxes.
After your round stop in their newly renovated bar & restaurant. The chefs here take pride in their food and the beers are always ice cold.

The course is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. Driving range is included with round, which was a nice perk. Would definitely play this course again when back in KY.

I played front fast, then I got to the back and there was a group of 8. Course did not care and did nothing about it. They were kids, so I assume mommy and daddy are members. I ended up getting a rain check for 9.
Pretty nice for a cold wet, windy day in March
Course definitely gets better as things warm up in KY. But for March, it was fine, and at a good/fair value. Greens were very nice, all things considered, for the time of year.
Love this course
I have been lucky enough to play this course a couple of times. I think the shots that it offers and deviations in holes makes it a super fun course and the staff is always great. I will continue to play this course more and more.
