Wildwood Golf Course

About
Wildwood Golf Course is located about 20 minutes outside of Portland just off of HWY 30. Nestled in a quiet valley and among towering fir trees, this 5,675 yard, 18-hole course provides plenty of challenge for all golfers.
Several holes roll up and down the early reaches of the valley walls while the rest meander along the valley floor. Three creeks either run along or cut across several of the fairways and water comes into play on almost every hole.
The clubhouse overlooks the front nine and provides everything needed for a satisfying round. Whether it's golf equipment, lunch, snacks or refreshments, Wildwoods friendly staff is there to help. Take a few hours off this week and treat yourself to a round of golf at this unique course.

Nice place
The course conditions were nice and the staff was friendly. This was my first time playing here and the course was a bit challenging. There were a lot of elevation changes and water to go over. The driving range is relatively small but gets the job done. The clubhouse is nice also as they have a variety of food and beverage options. I would recommend this course to experienced golfers but not for beginners.
Course with lots of elevation changes
I enjoyed the course, except for pace of play. They need a starter to put twosomes together and not allow fivesomes and a marshal to monitor pace of play. I had to wait on almost every tee box and most shots. The course is definitely challenging with lots of hazards and elevation changes.
Good course
Enjoy playing here beautiful course, it's a hike if you walk but worth it. Very well kept and playing moves smoothly. Would recommend but if your out of shape get a cart.
friendly staff
The greens had been plugged and sanded recently which means they will be good in another week or 2, but not today. Ran into a logjam at the 10th tee. The staff was kind enough to let me replay the front 9 which went fast
Carts not included
Great course, super fun and challenging but the pace of play is horrible. And a side note, the hot deal says carts are included but the pro shop guys say it’s a mistake so make sure to bring Extra spending cash for a cart, I usually walk anyway but with all of the hills walking takes People a VERY LONG time. Other than the cart issue the course was in amazing shape and was pretty fun.
Nice layout
It’s getting wetter due to recent rain but cart path and fairways are well drained and maintained, better than last few years. Lots of elevation changes on par 3s but my rule of thumb is club up 2 lengths for uphills and down 2 for downhills seemed to work well.
Up and down
Elevation changes. Not long. Pick the right club. Greens a little shaggy, recently plunged. Pretty course and surrounding scenery. Some greens are small. Well maintained. Stay out of the water hazards. Lots of fun. Recommended.
Disappointing
I’ve played this course numerous times and have always enjoyed it but today was a different case. The front 9 was pretty good. 1:45 minutes. The back 9 was another case. Waits of at least 15 minutes at every tee box. Over 30 minutes/hole to play. I finally quit when I got to the 14th tee box and there were 5 groups ahead of me waiting to tee off. The course needed a Marshall and there was none to be found. AWFUL!!!
Great (but hilly) course outside Portland
Great weather and conditions. Only issue was that id din't know the greens had recently been plugged because they played really rough. So you pretty much had to just take a two putt unless inside of 2 feet.
If you aren't used to walking, this course would tire you out since it is pretty hilly with some steep inclines, but didn't mind that.
This is a beautiful course.
Even though the greens had been plugged I had a great round. The rest of the course was in awesome condition.
Beautiful course
I was very pleased with the condition of the course and it’s beauty. Luckily I was matched up with a local player that gave me hints on where you can get in trouble if your drives aren’t accurate. The greens were fast but in good shape.
A challenging and beautiful golf course.
Plenty of elevation changes will provide a challenging round, as well as strategically placed hazards. First hole is beautiful, with great views of the hills and a long drop down to a fairly straight fairway. Some crowned greens and a steep uphill par 4 and an abrupt downhill par 3 add to the fun on the front 9.
