Wildwood Golf Course

About
Wildwood Golf Course is located about 20 minutes outside of Portland just off of HWY 30. Nestled in a quiet valley and among towering fir trees, this 5,675 yard, 18-hole course provides plenty of challenge for all golfers.
Several holes roll up and down the early reaches of the valley walls while the rest meander along the valley floor. Three creeks either run along or cut across several of the fairways and water comes into play on almost every hole.
The clubhouse overlooks the front nine and provides everything needed for a satisfying round. Whether it's golf equipment, lunch, snacks or refreshments, Wildwoods friendly staff is there to help. Take a few hours off this week and treat yourself to a round of golf at this unique course.

Hidden Gem in the woods
Great course, amazing views, friendly staff. One of my favorites in a Oregon, and always a steal of a deal.
last hot day
course was recently aerated so the greens were sandy and bumpy.... course is alright for the $$$$. We were hoping for food after playing as the course was full but the kitchen was closed and all that was offered was pizza, dogs and snacks.
GOLF COUSE
This course is a hidden a gem the setting was beautiful, the staff was great, and take time to sit outside and have lunch before you head back out for the back nine, the New Club House is AWESOME, with a fantastic view, I got Golf Now for $20 for 18 holes well worth every penny, This was my first time here, I come from Tillamook, I'm already making plans to return.
Alderbrook GC MARK
LUSH even after 54 days without RAIN
Great Course, Hidden Gem. about 15 miles from Portland on Hwy 30 West. Course has Plenty of streams wandering through course . Wife and I played 9 holes (Back Nine). Very quiet and challenging. Front nine flatter. Pro Shop staff friendly and Nice Clubhouse. Greens and fairways in Great shape. Some elevated Tees. Back nine some rolling fairways. Will be back.
Very good course to enjoy your day.
Course is in excellent condition. The greens have pretty good speed. It is tough for walking but manageable. The elevation makes the course very interesting. Staffs are the frendliest in great Portland area. Will play again for sure.
Great course in a beautiful location!
I was extremely surprised how incredible this course is for the price and location. Nestled back in the hills, this course has length and challenges where you wouldn't expect it. I would highly recommend this course and will be back soon.
Best deal in the Northwest
We play Wildwood every Thursday and it seems like every week their making the course better ,from the t boxes to the greens beautiful newly remodeled club house to the very friendly staff ,hands down one of the best courses in the northwest .
weedy goat track. Rude shop people
I've played Wildwood a handful of times so my expectations were already low- lame routing to greens that you can't even see or that are inexpertly carved into hills. Poor conditioning of fairways and greens. You just get the feeling mom and pop are overcharging you to play in their back 40..
But its closer to town than other tracks so it's in a convenient place. But i won't venture back now that i have encountered the sort of rude, unprofessional staff that should be at a 7-11 instead of a pro shop.
We'll be back
First time at this course for me and my husband. The course was beautiful and tucked away from the city. Yardage was somewhat shorter than other par 72 courses, but holes still had dog legs, water and challenges. We walked and it was good exercise with some hills. Pace of play was good - started out slow on the first three holes, but then spread out and we didn't have to wait anymore. The clubhouse and outdoor seating was really nice for drinks afterwards and overlooks several holes - limited food menu. Remember to take your allergy meds, if allergies are a thing for you - lots of sneezing!
It's has a Nice newer built clubhouse/bar, with an Elevated View of course and quaint outside area to relax and enjoy a drink after your round. Hilly course with beautiful views along with great greens, was fun to walk but next time will rent cart. The course seems short but is Very risk and reward, you can hit driver but being accurate and having a level lie can equal to being just as rewarding. Water runs through the course and with elevation of tees and greens can make for some tricky 125yd and in shot you may not practice or get at other city courses. Only had a handful of groups on course so pace of play was great a little bit of a drive from Portland but well worth it. Will be back
Beautiful course
The drive may seem a little far from Portland, but it is worth it to be surrounded by nothing but trees and rolling hills. Beautiful course, plays very short, but makes up for it with a large amount of elevation change. Par 3s and 5s are abundant and allow for scoring opportunities. The clubhouse seems pretty new, and staff was friendly. There is not really a pro shop, just a few things for sale in the clubhouse. Great course, especially for the value.
weather
This is a Awesome Course, new club house now with full bar! the only thing is same with all the other course's i have played are to wet. come on summer
Stressful play.
I played in group of 31 persons. Several time many of the players were harassed as much as 5 to 6 times by the person acting as a marshal. He said we were playing to slow.. On the average it should take 15 minutes per hole or 4 hours and 30 minutes for a round. They told us we took 2 hours and 50 minutes to play the front nine. I believe that to have been impossible since we started at 9:00 Am and finished at 1:30 PM. That would mean we had to have played the more difficult back nine in 1 hour and 50 minutes. The course condition on the front nine may have added to the slow play along with the interval of the T times, but we made every effort to speed up play, including picking up our balls, dropping them just off the green, taking a 2 stroke penalty and playing out some holes.
WE were also promised a BBQ which did not turn out well. Several dishes were promised to chose from and yet all we got was a hamburger, chips and potato salad for $5. We paid extra for our drinks. What we got was not worth what we paid for it.
THis is the second time in the past couple of times playing this course that unfair criticism was directed at me personally by a course staff member. I will most likely not play there again and will tell others of my experiences
Pretty Course!
A little hilly for walking, but do-able. Interesting layout with hills, meandering, curving fairways. Good use of water, trees, landscape. Greens were in great shape and both times we've played here it has been raining. Fairly busy place but paced well.
