For a last minute round of golf it was ok but I've played better.
Not sure what to rate the course as this was the first time there and the weather was craptastic so I'll say that I've played better and cheaper but bang for the buck not too shabby for a course in the Washington DC metro area.
1st Time
It was our first time playing at Bowie. Considering it is early March and the weather was nice enough for a day of golf I'd say it was a win. All things considered date and weather the course was in good knick. The greens weren't terrible and overall the course had a nice flow. We will definitely be seeing off here again.
I became a member
1st time playing BGC! Loved it, so I joined! 4 miles from home, made it a easy decision.
Bowie Golf
I enjoy playing this course, but the cart paths are in serious need of attention.
Disappointing Conditions
Very little grass in most fairways. Grass around greens missing, uneven and lumpy. Bunkers wet, not raked. Tee boxes bare and rock hard - broke most plastic tees in half.

We enjoying playing this course. There are some challenging holes & some easy holes. My only real issue with this course is the cart paths. They are in very poor shape. Another issue for Fall playing is the amount of leaves on the course. There are so may I usually lose 1 or 2 golf balls per round, i.e. can't find the ball in the leaves.

Great course to play! Very challenging as there’s hazards in some of the holes.
My only complaint is actually the two some behind us. I was in a foursome, and by the 14th hole, they were complaining that we were too slow. Of course, if it’s four people vs two, we’re gonna be a bit slower than you lol. And the fact that we were actually on pace doesn’t make any sense to me.
Other than that, great course. Terrible golf etiquette lol.
