I love Bowie Golf Course. The staff are A-1 and the facilities have improved immensely. Feels like home!!!!!
Bowie Golf
I enjoy playing this course, it has some easy holes & some challenging ones. The most obvious downside to this course is the cart paths. You almost need a 4x4 to navigate them. Goose poop can also be an issue on a few holes.
Bob's Opinion
Despite the verry warm weather the course is in great shape (Kudo;s Joe & crew). Best deal in the region. Play with the Knights of Columbus leagues and thoroughly enjoyed by all members of both leagues. Recommended for all skill levels.
Cart Path needs 4x4
Greens in great shape , course in above average shape..The Cart paths are older than me I would bet..just saying ...safer off the path..
Good value
This is a good local corse. Some water, some hills, challenging shots, the cart paths are terrible. The club house is small. Cats work well. Overall a very good value for the price
This course needs some investment
We play Bowie often because it is convenient and the staff is very nice. But this course needs some serious work, and I don’t mean the planned 2-tier lighted driving range with food and games.
On the positive side, the tee boxes, fairways and greens are in great shape.
BUT. The current driving range is terrible. It would not take much money to throw down some new, UNWRINKLED, mats. And the stations should be spaced better.
The cart path is a nightmare of ruts and bumps. I know tree roots are a big problem, but tbh it’s painful to drive along the path at any speed.
