This course needs some investment
We play Bowie often because it is convenient and the staff is very nice. But this course needs some serious work, and I don’t mean the planned 2-tier lighted driving range with food and games.
On the positive side, the tee boxes, fairways and greens are in great shape.
BUT. The current driving range is terrible. It would not take much money to throw down some new, UNWRINKLED, mats. And the stations should be spaced better.
The cart path is a nightmare of ruts and bumps. I know tree roots are a big problem, but tbh it’s painful to drive along the path at any speed.
Greens and fairways were in good shape. The cart paths are in the process of being upgraded.
Playing Bowie Golf Course
Greens were in very good shape. Nevertheless, I would’ve liked it more if the greens were a little faster. But I appreciated the fact that they were at a fair speed and appeared to be well maintained. I also enjoyed the course layout. The degree of difficulty in my opinion was moderate. Sand traps were a bit thick but moderate. Speed and f is lay was good as well. My outing at Bowie Golf Club Was a Wonderful experience.
Municipal course that is getting better everyday
Course conditions continue to get better; tree removal has improved sight lines and playability. The main issues now are the cart paths for riders, the overpriced balls for the "driving" range and the lack of a modern clubhouse and restrooms.
Perfect way to start the weekend
Bowie is a very forgiving course and affordable. Jason who works in the clubhouse is very friendly and has a nice and easy going attitude. Can’t go wrong for the price.
Great value
Fairways and greens were in great shape. The range needs some updating. Only 3 mats are usable. Facilities also could use some upgrades, but I'm there for the golf.
Narrow in some areas and if you don't hit the fairway, is hard to find your ball in the tree debris.
Your course is layout making finding the hole very easy. Alot of difference between blue and white driving positions. Overall great course with a few more challenges thanks kurt
