Good day out with my daughter
Kevin was out as usual checking up on play- very nice golf experience!!
Walked the Course
Sunday early round took 4 hrs 20 mins but it was us, nobody in front of us. Walked the course and enjoyed it. Nice variety of hole layouts. Great condition.
finally! they reworked the course.
I never thought I would say this but the course its in excellent shape. I played 2 years ago and thought I would never play it again. glad I gave it another chance this year. 10/10. go play
Pleasant day
The green is still rough. Everything else is good. The tee times is at 2, but the pace was good. No wait. Smooth sailing.
Cart
Greens are about 2 weeks out from fully growing back in. Had a 7:09 tee time and the cart was dead going up hill by the 15th hole had to Fred Flintstone the cart to make it to the end.
Good course to play, if you can get a deal.
The layout at Timbers is great. And it's usually in good to great condition. However, the patchy rough (in places) and aerated greens were a bit of a surprise this trip. I recommend this course to anyone with a caveat. Make sure you get a deal/discount somehow. This is the most expensive public course in the area and it shouldn't be. $60+ is steep for a course of this level. The nearest public course is Fairway Hills and is $15-25 cheaper, while bringing a comparable experience. $60+ is for courses like Waverly Woods and courses of that level. This course is not that level.
Slow
Pace of play is horrendous. Tee time was at 2:12pm, started on time and finished at 7:20pm. 5 hours and change for 18 holes.
