Great condition, challenging layout
Course has a lot of twists and turns off the tee, so only hit driver a few times, so course management is key. Condition of course was very good. Greens were nice condition, but many previous golfers don’t repair their ball marks, so lazy and liberal of them. Overall a great course to play!
A Challenge
The course is in great condition. The tee boxes make you think before leaping but they are fair. A friendly staff and timely amenities made for a fun round.
Great Course, Misleading Online Rate
The staff is professional, helpful and very friendly, the course was in pretty good shape (minus the 1st hole) .. just be prepared to pay another $20 bucks as they do not follow the rates quoted by the online golf apps. Middle of July weekday at midday and I had many options to play courses in several counties and I left my circle of courses to come out to Howard County. The course was wide open, so I got in a fast round with temperatures pushing 100!
Course layout and condition
The course was very well layed out and offered great risk reward challenges. Definitely cant wait to play again
Roller Needed #14
Great round walking (14,883 steps). Sand settling well on putting surfaces throughout. Wayward shots were punished accordingly. The short par 3 #14 has taken a beating. Birdie putt went airborne, which was entertaining. Grounds crew may need to repair and roll surface more frequently. Players need to "CARE" and repair and tamp down divot damage. This is a player issue not the course management
Timbers is in great shape, greens are fast & rolling true & fairways are in great shape also.

The Timbers at Troy
Very nice, fun course. Challenging, but not overly difficult. You don’t have to hit driver on every par 4. Some real good Par 3’s. The course is in great condition, and the greens were consistent on each hole. First time playing here. It was well worth the hour drive from Virginia to come play here. I’ll be back!
Great Course
Great fun for a short course. 6700 from the tips. Very well maintained. Love the fairways. Even the bunkers were in good shape. Driving range is small but good for a warm up. Massive putting green was very helpful for my no 3-putt round.
