I think they keep the course in decent shape year round. It is a good challenge for amateurs.

Played timbers at troy on a busy, warm November day (11/26). The course was in great shape, pace of play was good for a busy day, and price was very reasonable. You can tell this place goes to great lengths to improve pace of play, as it's a tight lay-out where people could easily spend too long looking for balls and dilly-dallying. I appreciate that.

I paid $34 for 18-holes. The professional at the desk was helpful, and the starter practically gave me a tour/guide of the course. Will add timbers to my rotation.

Timbers of Troy is one of the higher-tier public courses in the baltimore area. I definitely recommend it, and we will be back next year. It is a wooded course that requires accuracy off the tee and superior green reading skills. The staff is very professional and well-trained. The snack bar has great food and beer for port-round festivities.

Played Friday in under 4 hours. The course is in the best shape its been in all year. Now is the time to go play timbers.

Timbers has improved a lot. When I played this course a month ago it was in terrible shape. The fairways were dirt and the greens were in bad shape. Today the course was much better. Still has a ways to go, but the greens were in good shape. The fairways were much better. Still had lots of dirt patches. The course is trending in the right direction.

Timbers of troy is a difficult course. Prepare to lose some balls. If your enjoy a challenge, its the course for you. Greens weren’t too fast though. Conditions were good, friendly crew, and the hotdog was delicious.

I played on 10/24 right after a couple days of rain. The golf course in in really good shape for mid-fall. I typically play here in the summer, but will come back more often during the offseason. I appreciate the staff getting me out on a busy October day.

We played in the rain this past weekend. Other than getting wet, we had a blast. The course is in good shape, the layout was hard. It's a solid track.

I've struggled to find anything positive today after our 7 hole experience at "The Timbers at Troy." Do not ignore other's negative reviews like we did, they are unfortunately accurate.

*Tee times are not followed by the marshal. Thus leading to slow, inefficient play as other large groups tee off one after the other. There was no 10 minute gap between groups.

*Upon stepping on the first tee box you realize you've spent entirely too much money to be playing on course conditions you'd experience to play at half the cost. I know, it's later in the season, but wow, the conditions are in line with a $20-25 course.

*No marshals patrol the course to ensure pace of play is consistent. This leads to frustrations by all players and multiple groups queuing up two to three deep at each hole. Again, had the marshal at the first hole been following the reservations this would be less of an issue.

*Don't bother offering any constructive criticism to the staff. One of our female group members was told by a male in a condescending manner, "That's golf miss." She's played golf her entire life, today's negative experience is unique to the poor management at "The Timbers at Troy." It's sad that females are still talked down to in a sport that's struggling to grow it's female player base. Ever wonder why you don't see more females on the course? Because of entitled men who feel comfortable talking down to females even though it's the year 2020.

*Our group left, did not finish even 9 holes, and were offered a "free" round of golf as a consolation. We will not be returning, ever.

A very nice course well maintained and fun to play a good value for the money

I just love Timbers At Troy. It’s not too long but a great test of golf. Not too difficult to get tee times . Course conditions are really good and pace of play is just right . Overall great bang for your buck. The clubhouse has a nice changing area with lockers .The refreshment cart comes round frequently

Course was in bad shape mostly due to aeration of the greens and fair way. The course has the bones of nice track but like most public courses it is over priced, over played and slow.

I did like the bunker sand and positioning. The greens have great potential but not this day.

The staff are professional and well organized. I started at about 2 so it was over 90 and humid.

It was my third visit this month, and I knew it was aeration on the fairway and the green, but I felt bad every time I stepped on it, spraying duck dung on the grass.

This is my second visit this month, the worst of which is due to aeration on the fairways and greens.
