The Timbers at Troy

Beautiful course with a challenging layout. Staff was very friendly. Greens are very challenging but seem to hold a lot of water and are easily damaged. Overall one of my favorite courses.

This is a local course, but like I said the weather has beat it up. there were mold areas, and areas that should have been marked unplayable. there were lines on some greens and (this is not the courses fault), but many ball marks. I spent a few minutes repairing some on each hole.

Hopefully, next season the weather will not hammer the course, but for what I paid I would have expected better.

Course is in good shape; just a couple of soggy areas. Friendly staff. Played very quickly as a single in the afternoon. Several blind shots so it was easier to play the second time.

This course was great. I want to play here continously.

The green were horrible very bumpy its like no maintenance is done on these greens . There was so many non repaired ball marks . The tee boxes need work some had weeds all over them . The course lay out was interesting the bunkers are in great shape . Overall the price is to high for those conditions.

Although the pace slowed tremendously on the back 9, the course redid their cart paths and they look/feel amazing! Played this course when I first started and was not happy with it...loved it today..will be back for another hot deal - think the cost is a little steep without the discount!

Haven't played this course in probably 8 years. Major improvements. Had just rained hard and you could not even tell. Great pace of play.

Not a fan of the course layout. To play you are best off going iron iron on every hole and leave woods in the bag. Rough was very in consistent as well.

Overall, the course condition was good. It was after few days of heavy rain but fairways and roughs were cut and maintained well. I believe that recently renovated the cart pathway and assumed that yardage mark was not sprayed yet. There wasnt any marker on the fairway either. Other than that, it was good value course with hot deal.

A pleasantly laid out parkland course, with a mix of moderately easy to moderately challenging holes. The fairways were in great condition, the greens less so with the coring not having healed fully. The incessant rains the previous week would not have helped. The bunkers were yet to dry out,.

The tee boxes are in good shape.

Greens were aerated, but almost fully healed and in another week, the greens will be rolling perfectly.

The layout of the course is nice. Has some simple holes and some difficult ones. There are some holes with a personality and you really have to think about which club to use.

Definitely going back!

Course was in great condition. Greens were fast and consistent. Pace of play was better than average.

Haven't played Timbers in over a year. Was very surprised at the condition! The fairways were in excellent shape, particularly compared to other courses in the area. And, the bunkers were exceptional--the sand was beautiful white, thick and soft. It was actually very nice to play out of the bunkers. I will agree, though, with the greens. The holes were big and not completely filled with sand, so pretty bumpy. Once they heal, they will be nice. Finally, the tunnel between 3-4 and 10-11 was closed, so you had to detour back up 10 and down 4 to get to the holes on the other side of the road. We were walking, and it added an extra 30 minutes to our round. Luckily, not many people today and we didn't hold anyone up, but they should have considered an alternate detour path than that--almost got killed by errant tee balls walking back up #10 to get to #11!!

Do not play this course until the greens fill in. The

holes were large especially on the back nine. Some were not filled with sand but even then the putts would wobble in every direction. The should knock $20 off the price when the greens are this bad. Not worth the money. We paid $48 (weekly, senior, mid-day,non-resident)
