Maple Run Golf Course

We enjoy golfing at Maple Run, it is a very cost efficient course, it would be nice if they had a cart girl or at least some water spread throughout the course. Staff is always friendly and polite.

Quick pace of play until the 7th hole when we encountered 2 groups of very slow players. We skipped holes #7 and #8 to play on hole #9 and went on to finish our round in 3 hours. There was no ranger around to tell the group in front of us to let us play through.

Played it earlier in the year and it was in much better shape. Tee boxes are uneven and bare( No grass). Fairways were not great. Greens in decent condition. They have done considerable work on the course but it’s not there yet.

Course itself was okay. Staff isn’t friendly. Grounds crew cutting grass and working on tee boxes on the hole we were playing happened a few times. Sprinklers leaking and leaving puddles of water around the greens wasn’t fun. We got a deal for $27 a person which is good because $42 per person is way too high for this course.

This was a good value for the Golfnow price of $28.00 on Tuesday morning, July 22. The course was shorter from the senior tees than many other courses but that was fine as far as I was concerned. The condition was fair but that was good enough. Although the carts were gas, which is always undesirable but normal for most public courses, they did have a very nice GPS screen that gave accurate yardages. This course is definitely worth the drive if you are looking for a decent round at a bargain rate.

Fun track. Plenty of beautiful views to enjoy. Green are good. But weather may have changed them a bit. Great staff. Good value

I hear new management is making upgrades, and some things clearly have. But not the things that matter. The tee boxes are in awful shape. All of them. Fairways are full of weeds and bare spots. I hope this course keeps improving because it has potential.

Great little course in the mountains that Bill Clinton used to play. Need to say more.

This was my first time playing here in 4 years or so. Since then a new Owner has taken over and the changes are very noticeable. The layout is obviously still the same, but all grass from the tee boxes to the greens are in way better shape. The pro shop is much nicer plus they have a window at the bar so you don't have to go inside plus an outdoor seating area. The course was pretty wet when I played but with all the rain we have had lately, that's to be expected almost anywhere. Overall that was a much improved over my past experiences here and I look forward to returning again soon.

This course was in great shape. I don't think you can find a better deal for your money.

Enjoyed the course. Didn’t enjoy the mosquitos. They really need to install some fountains in the lakes to keep the water moving.

This course is well maintained. Big improvement. Staff are nice, too.

The golf course is much improved than last year. Everything is in place. Definitely will come back again

I am amazed I was even there to play, given almost 14” of rain that week and the back 9 underwater not a day or so prior. They were quick to have the paths repaired and grass mowed as quickly as possible. As mushy as it was, I managed 7 over par. The new owners sure are doing their best to make this a real asset to golfers. Well done.

It was a good day out there. Course isn’t in the best shape but when you hit out of the rough most of the time who cares. Greens were solid - greenskeeper might have been in a bad mood based on the pin locations. We got a pretty good deal, not sure I would want to pay full price for the condition but it’s still reasonably priced. Only complaint was the pace of play but I don’t think that’s anyone’s fault. Would try if you’re in the area

Last played in 2023 when they were making a lot of changes. The course has improved some since then. Unfortunately there are still a lot of bare spots on tee boxes, fairways, and fringes. Some tee boxes even had grass as high as the tees. Greens were recently punched and top dressed and were in okay condition. The carts had a delay once you hit the gas and then jerked so bad that the front wheels would come off the ground. Wouldn’t pay more than $25 to play again unless it’s a hot deal with $10 off. I’ll maybe give it another shot down the road a bit.
