"Approach" shot on 13 from middle of "fairway". You have to hit through or around the power poles from 250 out Photo submitted by DrOldSchool on 11/21/2012
Great course for fun golf
I play this course all year and have played almost every course within 40 miles. I prefer an informal relaxed environment and that's what you get at Maple Run. It's all about golfing, having fun and working on your game. The course is very diverse. There are streams to get over, wide fairways, narrow fairways, gorgeous and very challenging greens, The conditions change with the weather. Last year all golf courses in the surrounding area were drenched. We played anyway and still had fun. Maple Run is not a resort or country club, Its a great golf club for those that want to golf for a great rate, enjoy an informal and friendly environment and appreciate challenges on a golf course.
Maple Run
Nice experience. Friendly staff. Great value for the money. Fairways and rough not always in the best shape, but the greens almost always are. One of my favorite places to play!
Nice place for casual round of golf
Laid back atmosphere, staff is extremely friendly. Greens have always been in good shape. A fun place to play.
coursehas good features you can use to help game
as a sr. the course is a good layout for not being so long.
Wet, wet, and more wet
Not the course's fault but the course was soaked. If anything, they should have closed.
Love the quiet laid back setting, down home golf course
Another great day at Maple Run. Fantastic day and the course was in real good shape, a few wet spots but al in all pretty good
Surprised
The condition of Maple Run is in the worst shape I have ever seen...I know I played a few days after heavy rains but course condition was not due to too much water....fairways haven't been cut ... could not even hit ball from them...whole course was horrible and cart paths were atrocious...should have saved my money and so should you...very disappointed...

My wife and I play many and varied courses. This was a very worthwhile experience. The fairways were completely trimmed as was the rough. Congrats to the guys doing the groundwork. The greens were in tip top shape. Fairways, rough and greens were very green and not dried out. The staff was extremely friendly on the phone prior to arrival and when checking in and out. We will be back even though it’s a 40 mile trip. Playing a mountainous course is simply fun and especially when it has nice playing conditions with a friendly staff all around!!
Good value for the money
Enjoyed my round. Course was in good shape. Staff was friendly. The course was busy, but the pace of play was good.
Cart paths
For the money, it's an ok course. Cart paths are horrendous. Sticking up stones are everywhere. Fairways are smoother than the cart paths. Some just need filling the holes with stone. But they are everywhere you go. If you have lower back problems, don't go to this course.
Maple Run July 2018
It's been dry but the course is holding up very well. Bring your own water, it seems that some weekdays they don't fill the containers.
Great Day
Great round, course was in good shape. Greens were perfect. Always enjoy playing here, staff is very friendly.
Good course for the value
The course is good course with some challenging holes. The pin placements are hardest part of the course. There are a lot of suddle breaks around the pin. It is a good balance between taget golf and some wide open holes. Tee boxes could be better condition but you just cant beat the price to play a round. I will continue to keep playing this course at this price.
Warm Day But Good Golf Conditions
The greens are in great shape! Fairways and tees are average. Not very busy; we (2) played in 3 hrs even with waiting on a couple holes.
Looking good
The course is in good shape. It’s a nice local course and a bargain for the price.
Good time & Great value
Tough pin placements the day I went but the greens were in great condition as were the fairways
Can’t beat the price for 18 holes and a cart
Some funky holes, but worth the price!
At Maple Run, almost all of the challenge is on the greens.
It's a nice parkland layout, and aside from a couple of truly funky holes, it's a good course. The greens were in very good shape at the end of June, and they can be quite testy.
There isn't much to the clubhouse, but the folks are quite friendly!
Definitely a value course.
Maple Run
Very nice course for begginers and intermediate players. Not too difficult for walkers.
