Can’t go wrong
Have been extremely pleased every time I have played here. Have found course to be challenging & has met all of my expectations. Very friendly staff and helpful. Looking forward to returning
Beautiful Fall day!
Course overall was in great shape. Tee boxes were a little beat up. Pace of play was a little slow, might have been group ahead not playing the right tee box or ready golf.
Screw up
The course forgot they had an 18 player outing? So my Tuesday round was more than 5 hours. Corse was in great shape!
Awful pace of play
Second playing here and both times it took 5 hours to finish a round. Very slow pace of play with no rangers out there to speed groups along.
Off course food was decent at best, course layout is great and the green and fairways are very nice. Terrible terrible time waiting 10 min at every tee box for the fairway to clear
A lot of bare spots in the fairways
We had a group of 4, in front of us that were playing a scramble. They started out with a foresum of women in front of them and after 4 hole s the women were gone and they held us upon every shot. There were no rangers on the course, we called the club house and they never sent someone out. It made for a very painful round. Will not go back to this course.

Very enjoyable
Will definitely be back. Enjoyable course in good condition. Course layout really suited my eye. Not much in the form of amenities but it is definitely worth playing.
Great shape. Fun course to play.
Acushnet River is a very nice public course. Given the dry summer, the course is in excellent shape. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all lush and in great shape. The greens were a little slower than expected but ran true, so were great to play. Staff is friendly and the pace of play was very good. Bring a GPS app (such as the free GHIN app) as several holes have tricky, semi-blind landing areas for shots. You will really enjoy Acushnet.
Stay away!
Course in very rough shape. Fairways fried!! Greens were like putting on a shag carpet. Course needs several weeks to recover from the draught. Great layout when it’s right, give it a few weeks to recover.
