Acushnet River Valley Golf Course

Punched greens were a serious issue I understand it’s necessary I just wish we were given the heads up before booking. Price paid even as a hot deal was to much for a course with punched greens. That being said the layout is great and I’m sure the place is amazing when the conditions are up to their usual standards.

Greens were very slow do to the recent irrigation , otherwise very good

The course was burnt out. Took over 5 hours to play. No one there to move folks along.

Course was very burnt out (not their fault) due to last few weeks of hot weather. Was also cart path only to protect fairways that were burnt out which slowed down play.

Greens were plush but VERY slow (unusual for that course). Wouldn’t play here again til late September or later depending on rain and weather. Love this course so hopefully it will bounce back !!

This could be a great course but fairways and tees are burnt out, greens kept excessively long and ridiculously slow.

Always a good day at Acushnet! Because of the heat and lack of rain, the fairways were a lttle fast as expected in such conditions. The greens were in excellent condition.

Always enjoy playing this course. Very challenging for all type players. Even though the drought has affected the course, it’s still a gem of a course. Very friendly staff.

The course should let people know when they call for a tee time that it is cart path only.

Front nine has great holes with plenty of character. Back nine is less interesting. Current conditions were such that the course was played as cart path only. Very dry, fairways brown in many areas. Cart path only resulted in slow play and in 90+ degrees, somewhat taxing.

Have played this course several times and have continually been pleased playing here. Despite the drought we’ve had recently the organization has diligently attempted to keep the course in shape. I’m still going to play here and hats off to maintenance crew.

With the drought and hot summer it’s hard finding a course in this good of shape.

Also playing 18 holes here is like playing on two different courses but in a good way! The front 9 is more tight with trees lining the fairways…the back 9 opens up to resemble a links style course which is wide open with plenty of par 5s for you long ball hitters.

The ONE major call out has to be the hornets. Not sure what’s going on there, but on probably half the holes and a bunch of the sand traps there were ground hornet nests that essentially made that area unplayable. There was one tee box that we couldn’t play from due to the hornets. Still I’d gladly play this course again and will be considering it for a season pass come next year!

With the heat and lack of rain I’m very surprised the course was in such great shape. The yardages are awesome for an average golfer, challenging at times but not extremely difficult. Wish I lived closer I’d be a member.

Well maintained golf course. Good pace until back 9.

Womens room poor condition. Broken stall lock, broken toilet seat, no paper towels. Needs a renovation

Have played this course several times recently and have been well satisfied with this super course. Always in excellent condition. It provides you with all the challenges one may look for. Great staff & very friendly.

Highly recommend, well maintained and a very good golfing experience. Greens a bit longer than expected but in very good shape. Hats off to the superintendent.
