Good value - Always in great shape
The course and greens are usually in great shape. The value is good, but the course is a little remote.
Great course!
Great conditions and awesome layout! Different look from every tee box– makes you dig through the bag. Better know your numbers and strike it pure. The juxtaposition between front and back was cool. Front is a little tighter with tree line fairways, and the back is fairly open/more links. Overall, great course and worth the visit!
Play pace
Got to the third And immediately came to a dead halt . There was a couple in front of us . A foursome at the Teebox . And a foursome on the green . A minute later we had a couple behind us . And that’s the way it went for the next 15 holes . Never saw a ranger or anyone else looking at time of play or doing anything about it . I have played there a few times and it pretty much has been like that . It’s a shame because I love the course one of the best courses in the area .

One of our favorite courses.
The course was in great shape from tee to green. The pace of play was slow as most week-end rounds are. The ranger's job is to keep up the pace of play, but it seems most of the courses don't enforce it. That shoud be their primary duty.. To put aside the above criticism, the course still remains one of our favorites on the South Shore.
Slowest course in America
Course is decent but it takes 5-6 hours to play and the ranger/starter is a rude jerk. He doesn’t do his job and make the sure the pace of play is good. Also they’re so greedy their tee times are a joke and they ratpack as many golfers as possible on the course.
ARV Firstimer
I have been wanting to play this course for a long long time and finally got the chance. It did not disappoint one bit, I enjoyed the course layout and condition it was in. Definitely one of the better courses I've played this summer!

Good course but wait.
Don’t come to Acushnet River Valley unless you have 4+ hours to play, playing this course 7 times I have yet to play a round under 4 hours. The course itself is awesome, great layout, a lot of fun holes, but be ready to wait 5+ minutes at every tee box. If the pace of play wasn’t an issue this would by far be my favorite course in Bristol County; but the waiting around puts a huge damper on the experience

Great day out at this course. Only played 9 but the course was in great shape from tees two greens. Will definitely play again. Lots of older men and women’s groups on today but I was able to get out before their tee times.
Course is in great shape
Great course. Very underrated course in this area. Fairways and greens were in great condition as always. Pace of play was a little slow (4hrs15min) but not to bad. Overall great day!
A course in excellent condition
From tee to green this course was by far the best that I have played here in southeast Massachusetts. You can tell from the first tee that the crew really takes care of this course. I really enjoyed my day. I highly recommend this course.
Great track through the woods
I really enjoyed this round of golf. Fun layout, some challenging holes, and a little open links style on the back 9. Pace of play was a little on the slow side for a Friday. The foursome in front was dragging and stopped for food at the turn. They should have been moved along by a marshal, especially right next to the clubhouse.
All in all, great course and a fantastic value on the hot deal tee time. I'll be back.
Great Course, poorly run.
This is a beautiful course in great condition. Hire a pro shop staff staff that knows how to run a course. Have the shop open more than 5 minutes before the first tee time. Don’t book tee times while you are having a USA kids tournament and expect people to tee off an hour late. Maybe learn to say,
“I’m sorry sir, we made a mistake”.
United Airlines Special
I tried to give this place a chance the past four or five times I’ve played. I’d say the last 5 times I’ve booked a tee time I’ve teed off at least a 1/2 hour to 45 minutes past the booked time.
Then comes the part about pace of play. Horrendous. There’s not a golf course on earth that you should wait 5 and 1/2 hours to finish 18 especially with a golf cart.
The waiting times outweigh the benefits of the course track and conditions. Which is very unfortunate.

I play here every week at twilight it gets busy at the cheap rate. I have played at full price every thing runs great. If you took the time to speak with somebody they would have informed you they had a junior tournament by USKIDS that day and they ran over their time, causing a backup - 70 children under age 12 playing golf . It was great to see so many junior players with their families playing golf. I think alot of the twilight crowd gets a little excited as they all show up 1hr before their time thinking they will get out early and sometimes it doesnt work out that way and they get all upset. Try and see the big picture - junior golf - afternoon fun - relax and enjoy the moments. Have a great life.
