About
Maplegate Country Club sprawls across 150 acres of gently rolling hills that are blanketed with forests of stately maple, oak, beech, and white pine trees. The golf course is situated just off of I-495 along the border between Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Although the location is seemingly isolated, it’s conveniently only 45 minutes from Boston. The course plays harder than it looks with a diverse layout that will test you with a variety of different shots. Maplegate Country Club's front nine features more target-style golf but you'll get to pull out your driver on the back nine. There are some tough holes, but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The variety that the golf course offers made it the natural choice to host U.S. Open Qualifiers in both in 1998 and 2001.

Too much small flying insects

Great track
Great layout and condition. The pace of play was slow though and the marshalls weren't moving groups along - especially on the back 9

Good shape
Played with.3 other nice players. Greens are in nice shape, a little slow as usual. Tee boxes were in great shape. Par 3s are awesome. Still needs a ton of tree work and cart path work.. A solid course Tee.to Green. Highly recommend it, nice layout.

Will return- hoping for better rate of play
We had an awesome time. Course is beautiful. Biggest issue was the rate of play. 4 1/2 hours in we still had 3 holes to go. They allow 80 person leagues to kick off in the afternoon (carts and walking). We left after 16 it was painful. I hate to gig the course because of players being slow, but they need to jump on people for that. Shouldn’t be 5+ hours for 18 holes.

They've Done a Nice Job With It
Played from the Blues in 3:05 on a Thursday 2:20 tee off time on 7/1 No one on the back 9. Holes 2, 3 and 4 are funky, especially number 4. Lay up on a par 5 and a blind shot over tall obstacle. Course was in good shape. It has improved over the last 5 years. Greens were true, I like the rest of the layout.
