About
Maplegate Country Club sprawls across 150 acres of gently rolling hills that are blanketed with forests of stately maple, oak, beech, and white pine trees. The golf course is situated just off of I-495 along the border between Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Although the location is seemingly isolated, it’s conveniently only 45 minutes from Boston. The course plays harder than it looks with a diverse layout that will test you with a variety of different shots. Maplegate Country Club's front nine features more target-style golf but you'll get to pull out your driver on the back nine. There are some tough holes, but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The variety that the golf course offers made it the natural choice to host U.S. Open Qualifiers in both in 1998 and 2001.

Excellent combination of conditions, layout, and value
We had a wonderful experience for our first visit to this course. Aesthetically pleasing and a great course for our ability. The signage was particularly appreciated. It was worth the drive (even though the return to home in NH on 495 was not fun).

A Gem!
Golfers should enjoy the beauty and challenge of the gem. Various tee distances makes the challenge for all levels of golfers. The tree lined fairways add beauty....the only recommendation is improve the cart paths!....A tough ride!

Incredible value
I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of Maplegate. Course was in great shape, particularly the greens. The pace of play was phenomenal. We never felt rushed or nor did we wait at all. The practice facilities are top notch, too.
The clubhouse is small and doesn’t look like much on the outside but they have a surprisingly cool outdoor patio space.
Overall, I paid $40-45 dollars and it was well worth it. I will definitely be back.

Crazzy rate jump
95$???? No idea what there thinking? Thought it was a public course? For that kind of money ill just join a country club.

Not what it thinks it is
Took Maplegate off the courses I play two years ago. Pricey awful condition. Didn’t play in 2020.
Second time playing last Thursday, likely last for good.
Conditions from 2019 improved 10 fold. However cost has gone way up relative to similar courses around the area. Plus as a twosome it took 5 hours to play Thursday afternoon. A fivesome was in front of us and nothing was done despite a ranger coming out and cart girl (very nice) calling in.
If you check prices they are vastly expensive given the course itself.
Probably won’t play here again and would think twice about booking especially if it appears pricey.

Course in great shape

Great course layout, but not good value
Course itself was nice and I enjoyed the challenge. Course was in good shape, but not so amazing that I'd like to return and spend almost $90 again (plus make the drive). Pace of play was horrendous, which is easily my biggest gripe. I'd expect 5 hour rounds at the city courses, but certainly not at a more expensive country club. Facilities here are rather lacking, as well; I would've expected a nicer clubhouse and area to sit and grab some food or drinks, but the pro shop is essentially just a small shack. No issues with the staff here, just probably won't return due to the $$$$$ and pace of play.

So Slow!
It was the slowest round of golf I’ve played in a while (over 5 hours). No effort by Marshall’s to move things along.

Maplegate nice layout
Good, bad,ugly?
So played here with a couple of buddies, this past Sunday. I had not played here in about 10 years. First, I really like the layout, but at $88.00 dollars on a Sunday afternoon, it is overpriced.
Started right on time, had no one in front of us for 2 holes, then came to a dead stop, and had to wait on every shot after that.
There were plenty of Rangers out there, very pleasant when talking too them, but they just hovered over the group ahead of us, the whole round (and the slow play, was not their fault). I like too see Rangers patrolling the course, but it sucks when they are hovering over shot after shot.
It was a Sunday afternoon, but every green was littered with tree debris. Not sure why this was not cleared in the am?
I play a lot of golf, so I'm sure I'll be back
