About
Maplegate Country Club sprawls across 150 acres of gently rolling hills that are blanketed with forests of stately maple, oak, beech, and white pine trees. The golf course is situated just off of I-495 along the border between Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Although the location is seemingly isolated, it’s conveniently only 45 minutes from Boston. The course plays harder than it looks with a diverse layout that will test you with a variety of different shots. Maplegate Country Club's front nine features more target-style golf but you'll get to pull out your driver on the back nine. There are some tough holes, but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The variety that the golf course offers made it the natural choice to host U.S. Open Qualifiers in both in 1998 and 2001.

Great early season round.
Course is in great shape for this early in by the year. Great staff and the improvements really show. Pay attention to the course map, lots of in seen wetlands over blind hills.

Terrible course and staff
Staff is awful, so is the clubhouse. Employees refused to wear masks in height of pandemic- was golfing with my father-in-law who has special needs so couldn’t go into the clubhouse to get a bite mid-round. Staff is rude and knew we were uncomfortable, and flat out refused to put on masks when we asked so we didn’t even go in.

Late Nov. Good overall
Nov 29 round. Greens were very good shape and rolling. Nice for public track. But took 4.5 hours and the ranger didn’t seem to be pushing anyone. This course should not take more than 4. Fairways preeety good shape. Tees a bit spotty. But it’s late in the season. Overall happy with the product, but Iif your ranger is not gonna push people, then get a new one. We only got in 16.5 holes due to dark and waited on every shot the last 14 holes.

Maplegate
Nice track. Interesting layout and good conditions. A bit claustrophobic at times, but enjoyable. Pace of play was painful at 5:30 round.

Good Track, Slow Front
Took us close to 3-1/2 hours to play the front, and a hair over 2 hours to play the back. I can't imagine the layout is to blame, no one was out there trying to move people along.

Longest Round Ever
I created an account just to review this course. This course had to have been my worst experience of golf ever. It took 5 hours to call it quits on the 14th hole. Who is running this place, all the reviews say the same thing. This was my second time playing. They probably send people off every 5 minutes. DO NOT BOOK

Maple gate golf
Course is tuff for first time player you need to know how far to hit tee shots and what distances greens were good. Course is alittle tight and that causes slower play but nice course for money

You need to be accurate in distance and keep it straight here
Just too tight for my spraying tee shots
Its a drop or lost ball more often than not if you can hit it straight w proper distance
