About
Maplegate Country Club sprawls across 150 acres of gently rolling hills that are blanketed with forests of stately maple, oak, beech, and white pine trees. The golf course is situated just off of I-495 along the border between Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Although the location is seemingly isolated, it’s conveniently only 45 minutes from Boston. The course plays harder than it looks with a diverse layout that will test you with a variety of different shots. Maplegate Country Club's front nine features more target-style golf but you'll get to pull out your driver on the back nine. There are some tough holes, but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The variety that the golf course offers made it the natural choice to host U.S. Open Qualifiers in both in 1998 and 2001.

Good day. Still overpriced
This course must get a LOT of play... as the greens were beat up and it looks like still recovering from a more serious issue (only on some holes). Staff is friendly and I would come back.

legit 20 minute wait between holes
walked off after 5 holes ..... it was a friday, but no excuse for packing the course like that .... I walked off after playing the 5th hole and then waited for another 17 minutes to tee off on the 6th .... had enough. I was in my car at 3:25pm .... pathetic!!!!

Great course!
I played from the blue tees which made the round pretty challenging. The course layout was varied with plenty of water hazards which kept things very interesting. The course was very well kept, and the staff were all extremely courteous. I would definitely recommend this course, and/or play this course once again in the future.

Overbooked - inconsiderate
Booked 5:29 tee time , drove 30 mins to course and was told that I didn’t have a tee time. Checked my account and the reservation was cancelled and refunded , nobody called emailed or texted to let me know. Was told I could wait another 30 mins to pay $40+ for 18 holes and would probably get 9 in. Another golfer in parking lot also let us know that it took him over 3 hours to play 9 holes. Very disappointed in the lack of consideration and the overbooking. Clearly profit and shoving as many tee times into a day is the priority for management here.

Overbooked
Booked a 5:29 tee time online and received confirmation. Drove 30 minutes to the course and was told I didn’t have a tee time. Checked and saw that I had been refunded and had my tee time cancelled without anyone reaching out to let me know. Was told I could wait 30 more minutes to play at 6:00 and still pay $40 for 18 which wouldn’t even allow for close to enough time. When debating in parking lot whether to play, another golfer told us it had taken him over 3 hours to play 18 and was constantly waiting. Had thought this was a good local bang for the buck course but clearly poorly run and inconsiderate

Pace of play too slow.
Close to five hours teeing off before 10am on Sunday
Starter used to require single digit handicap to play the blue tees but apparently not any more. The foursome in front of us playing $20 Nassau from the blues and they should have been playing the Red tees!
New sand in all the bunkers. Course conditions were decent.

Place is a dump.
Little to no grass off from the fairways. Tee boxes need to be leveled and redone. They force players out clogging up the track. They also charge you a different rate versus what is shown online both on their website and through supreme golf.
I said what I said. Called yesterday and got nowhere. One star is probably one star too many.

This course is in great shape
This place is very challenging and fun. I can’t seem to hit a low score here but i do have a lot of fun. I find it to be in excellent condition compare to a couple of years back. Staff are very friendly. I definitely recommend this course.

Very challenging
This place is all good to go for 2020, it is in excellent condition and the greens are great and fast, they have done an excellent job keeping everything in top shape and everyone is working hard. I will definitely go back.

Nice place, decent for the money.
A nice course. Not incredibly forgiving. A bit of target golf but tests your abilities and patience. Could do without the ranger telling us to "crank it up" when it was raining, we were not holding anyone up and finished in under 4hrs. Greens were in good condition, quick but true. Decent for the money.

GolfNow app not honored
Course was nice but frustrated by the staff not honoring my GolfNow reservation. I booked my tee time through a hot deal on GolfNow, which stated that a cart would be included. However, when I entered the club house I was informed that I had to pay for carts despite the fact that my GolfNow reservation included carts. Had I known this, I probably would have played elsewhere.
