About
Maplegate Country Club sprawls across 150 acres of gently rolling hills that are blanketed with forests of stately maple, oak, beech, and white pine trees. The golf course is situated just off of I-495 along the border between Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Although the location is seemingly isolated, it’s conveniently only 45 minutes from Boston. The course plays harder than it looks with a diverse layout that will test you with a variety of different shots. Maplegate Country Club's front nine features more target-style golf but you'll get to pull out your driver on the back nine. There are some tough holes, but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The variety that the golf course offers made it the natural choice to host U.S. Open Qualifiers in both in 1998 and 2001.

Great hidden track
Highly suggest playing, my legs tell me this is the longest track in North America.

Nice course but slow start
My first time playing here I really like the course, but the play was so slow I missed out on my back 9 because it was delayed so much.

Course Condtion
So love playing this course. I'm a Die hard golfer and will play all year if no snow. Can be tuff this time of year with the oak leaves falling. The people working on course and leaf blowing were outstanding. Did a great job blowing leaves off the course and couttieous and considerate of when your playing golf. One guy came up while on the green putting and cleared all leaves off the green. Have to expect to lose some ball this time of year. Great course, nice layout and friendly staff.

Very disappointed
I’ve played this course numerous times. This time, the course probably shouldn’t have been opened. They made absolutely no effort to remove the leaves. We teed off at noon time and we didn’t see a leaf blower until 230 when we were halfway done our rounds. I ran into a member who told me they catered to the morning crowd so the course was in good condition in the morning and then they just left it be. I understand it’s fall golf and leaves will happen, however, this time I felt disrespected by the total lack of effort in keeping the course playable. Greens were in great shape like always

Nice course for money
Pretty good shape overall but too many leaves in traps and around greens
Crew was blowing leaves
4 some in front of us brutally slow
Could of used a ranger but all in all fun day at a good course

Too many leaves they’re working on it but piles of leaves in traps and around greens slowed play but they are trying

Course needs a little fixing on the fairways.
I went to this course after not playing here for quite some time.
I wasn't sure where the club house was because there are 2 shacks
on the property that look like they were maintenance shacks.
The course overall isn't too bad, however I think there were at least 8-10 holes with
ground under repair stakes in the fairway.

For the better golfer
This course is tough to score well if your a medium to high handicap. That said, it is a pleasure if you like a challenge.
There are wetlands crossing 3-4-5-6-7-16&18 that require a perfect tee shot or a layup or both.
Condition are good and improving since the new greenskeeper came on board.
Very good hot dogs at the turn my fav.

Beautiful Surroundings for a Interesting Layout
The greens were excellent - once you reached them. First time playing is difficult because of the number of blind shots and the volume of difficult bogs that make this a real challenge ... My friend and I will return and we are certain that a little course knowledge will save us from loosing so many balls ... Need a good course book with clear pix of what confronts you on each and every whole .... In spite of all this, between us we had ten pars because the greens ran true and the pin placements, while challenging, were fair

Awesome Course
Planned to play Trump course at NYC, unfortunately it had green maintenance several days earlier, instead we played this course, not easy course but we had a lot fun!!!

Great layout, course in great shape for this time of year
4 of us played here for the first time this past Sunday 9/1/19. Very impressed with the layout, you tee shots have to be accurate, but all is not lost if you go into the trees, most of the treelines are fairly open below so you can find errant shots. I was impressed with the holes that forced you to think and lay up, going bombs away and hoping for the best will just get you in trouble, I'm thinking of #4 in particular. My only quibble would be course markings. I'd expect a course this nice to have the hole indicator at the tee box with a graphic of the layout. Also the next hole isn't always clear for someone who hadn't played there before. This would be a tough course to walk, some long stretches between holes. That stuff is minor though, the course itself was great and fun- challening but not a total backbreaker.
