Very nice course
Greens were in great shape, fairways as well.outskirts of course a little burnt out. But overall good time
HUGE CHALLENGE
this course is beautiful inside and out. the higher handicapper will be crying after playing here though. lots of blind shots, hills, rolling hillsides, side hills, uphill's, downhills, tiny greens, and lots of bunkers. I am a 8.5 handicap and shot 92 :(. lost 6 balls on the front. I recommend keeping the driver in the bag and hitting hybrids and longer irons off tees and into greens. landing areas are very difficult. I can't wait to play it again and kick its teeth now that I have felt its jaws!
Consistently good course, just off the bridge.
Always in good condition, greens roll fast and true. One of my favorite spots in south shore MA . Short in length, par 70, so you'll want to play the back tees to get the full experience. Handful of blind shots, but not much danger on the other side. Decent pace of play yesterday even with it booked through. Price is reasonable considering what some of these other courses charge. Side note - make sure you hit the 'chipping range' to practice those crucial 50-60 yard wedges.
Pace of Play
Generally course is in good condition, but it attracts poor to mediocre golfers and the ranger does not enforce pace of play. I never once saw the ranger go around to move groups along. Staff doesn’t seem to care so long as the register is ringing. A full round on a busy afternoon will last 4.5 hours at least.
Bourne Gem
Really nice layout, healthy fairways, True greens. GPS provided in nice carts. Putting green and Driving range, small bucket of balls $11. Friendly staff. Nice restaurant. Pace of play was OK considering how busy it was. We have played this course several times when visiting family on the Cape and will definitely be back.
Challenging
Course is well laid out and offers quite a few challenges. There are plenty of approaches into the greens with an extreme elevation difference making you think about your club selection. Greens were in excellent condition. The only issue I saw was that some fairways had multiple divots and none of the carts had any sand to fill in the divots in order to help keep the course in good shape.
This course is in great shape
From its breathtaking view of buzzards bay on the first tee to its hidden greens this course as always is in great shape and it’s the middle of August. It’s a great bargain. golf carts are included in the green fees try it you won’t be disappointed
Not worth the money
Honestly, between the horrible traffic to get to this course and then the terrible pace of play and even more ridiculous layout it’s just one of the worst ones I have at the experience of playing in a while. If it was $60, I would give it a decent review but they were charging $120 for a round of golf at this place and it hardly has a layout that’s much better than your local dog track. The only thing that separates this place from being a complete dog track is some of the hills, nice features, and the condition of the greens. Other than that, we literally at one point had four groups on one hole and the Ranger didn’t seem to be doing his job at all. The layout also constantly slopes off with hard pan burnt out grass into the woods, penalizing good drives for no reason.
