This course is very hilly
We arrived early and were able to tee of. After 3 holes we has to stop the foursome in front of up was very slow. No rangers to complain to nor would the allow us to play thru. The course is very hilly with some water that came into play. The greens were well taken care of as were the fairways. I would go back but there are other courses that are a better value.
An enjoyable experience
The course never disappoints. Have played Brookside many times and the condition of the course is consistently good. Staff is friendly and professional. We look forward to our next round at Brookside.
Great Day
This layout offers a challenge for every level player and actually from all tees. Hit it straight from the tee and welcome side hills and up and down hills. The views are spectacular and the in great shape.
Very Nice Course (but you have to like hills)
Great course in excellent condition. Staff were great. 1st time player so had a little difficulty with blind shots and very hilly terrain. Will definitely play here again soon. Excellent challenging layout for what they had to work with: it is very hilly and it will have an effect on your game. If you like variations and different challenges in the courses you play this should be added to your list.
Just a great course. Can't wait to get back
Course was in great shape.A real challenge and super greens. Very good staff very helpful.
Great course for the money!
Brookside was tough but in great shape. Lots of uneven lies. Greens were smooth and fast, fairways were well maintained and the rough was rough. My only complaint would be the traps were unkept in spots most likely due to the heavy rain the last 2 days. We teed off at 9 AM, played in 3 hours 30 minutes and then had a nice lunch in the grill. I highly recommend this course!!
A must play on the Cape
Being that it was early in the golf season ,the course was in great shape. I played from the white tee's and it was very enjoyable and challenging. The yardage sticks in the fairway 's were very helpful ,because it is a placement course from the white tee's. The blue's are around 450 yards longer. It is a track that you have to play a couple of times in order to do shoot low. I will make it a point to play again this season. Not a walking course.
Course in great shape
Brought 2 new comers with me who were impressed with the condition of the course and reasonable pace of play for Saturday of a 3 day weekend. Plenty of challenges along the way! Helpful to play the course for the first time with someone who knows the course, as many of the trouble spots are not visible from the tee. Course is in excellent condition.
We were taken aback by not being allowed to sit at an outside table for cocktails following our round. We were told these tables are only for people ordering food !
Brookside Golf Club
This is by far my favorite course on the Cape that I have played so far (about ten courses). I went mid-day so I grabbed a great discounted rate on GolfNow but would definitely go back anytime and pay full price. I played by myself and zipped through the round in 3 hours. Beautiful course with a great layout. The staff wasn't rude but they weren't overly nice either (if that makes sense). Plenty of scenery and a very nice area. Will be back for sure.
Great variety, beautiful design.
This course has exceptional variety and challenging, DIFFERENT holes, both of which really appeal to me. It was unfortunately a bit of a slow day--one foursome was at least three holes behind anyone in front of them--and there was no ranger. But I would not hesitate to return again and again.
Recent Aeration was the only downfall.
Great hilly course. Practice you swing on 15+ degree grade if you wanna be accurate here. Fairways and traps were in great condition this early in the season. My only critique would be the aeration on the greens almost certainly makes everything 2+ putts outside of 15 Feet.
Fun course
Played in three and half hours.some airiated greens.many sidehill/uphill lies.Interesting layout.
just an opinion
Such a nice course on a clear day, more than half the holes have a great view and its always a challenge, love this course.
I wish they would just add me to their email list , i have tried. The greens had been punched the week before but the greens rolled well.
Brookside
I always enjoy my golf at the Brookside.
The course and it's staff always acceptable.
