Nice course...food service excellent...Rangers and pro shop staff blow
What is it with these "municipal" courses?...the Covid situation has made them forget that golf is a game played by people who expect to be welcomed to their facility...hostile, unhelpful, and treating you like an "interloper" ...the course is a fair test, in good shape...but I won't go back
Friendly staff! , well groomed., very nice course..
Exceptional course
Great course to play. In excellent condition with fast and true greens. Good walking course.
Old Scotty is always in decent shape. Greens were a little fast. Starter was friendly, however you are not supposed to take a cart to your car first, ooops. Pace of play was great, 4 some we played in under 4 hours. Golf now for $42 is a steal!
Great Course
This course is always in excellent condition, very fun to play and has a lot of challenging holes, i really like the design and it is becoming one of my favorite to go course in Massachusetts. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
In The UK They Say Lovely
Lovely, really, just lovely. The Brits would use this phrase to explain Olde Scotland Links. Beautiful tee boxes, awesome greens, real sand in the bunkers and the fairways and collection areas cut nicely. The "trouble" out there is avoidable. Wide open course made to give the Scottish feel. The trees, shrubs and water do not come into play if you keep the ball in play for the most part. The front side is where good players can post a low number. Brian Silva gets you on the flip side. 12,15 and 18 are golf architect holes. Long, accurate drives are a must on these holes. Don't go long over the greens, steep runoffs.
Good Day on the Links
Good day at Olde Scotland (one of my favorite places to play). It was cloudy and humid at the start but began to clear later in the round. Course played slow because it was a bit wet in places but the tees were up on several holes so it didn't play too long. Greens were in good shape. Shot my best round there to date, a 77, with an even-par 36 with 2 birdies on the front. The burger in the clubhouse was better than I expected.
Cancelled half way through
We made it to the seventh tee box and because of rain, thunder and lightning they cancelled the round and we were told we were unable to get a rain check or refunded and i would like to know what you guys plan to do about this. We each payed $69 dollars and we didnt even get to play half the round.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced at the course. Our goal is to keep the pace of play running smoothly and to never have it too backed up. As far as the raincheck goes, sounds like you prepaid for a Hot Deal on GolfNow. When this is the case, no money is paid to the pro-shop so there is no money that is owed back from the course. You may have booked other course times through GolfNow and that is why you were able to obtain a raincheck. If you call GolfNow, they would be happy to rectify the situation. We hope this clears any confusion up and we hope you give us another try in the future.
Great shape
Place was in fantastic shape, I would have given it 5 stars but we were told (nicely) to speed up our round after some regular douche called and said we were playing slow, which we weren’t. Other then that, it was a good time.
Fantastic Day at Olde Scotland Links
I am a course condition snob and this place does not disappoint.
Course is an amazing shape, greens are rolling fast and true, fairways are tight, fair and firm. Most tee boxes are in great shape just a few that are a little beaten up. 2nd time I played here this year and will definitely be back.
Just a real fun track
played in just over 3 hours. Greens were fast and true. Pace of play was outstanding.
CourseTruth
The facility is put together just enough. It’s clubhouse and entrance is not glitzy or special, but it serves it purpose. The staff seemed nice, but it’s not like a private course which experiences I’ve incorporated into my review scoring for reference. The course is fun to play and gives you a little more than you expect. The approach shots were great and are where you really score. The tips play around 6700, but there are plenty of holes you get to pull the driver out. It’s been challenging for me to find good greens in MA, but so far this year these greens were the fasted and most true... but still rolled around a 9 I’d guess. Overall, great walking course, but I’d for sure bring the boys there to drink.
