Good course for all skill levels
The course is in good shape except for a few tees. Greens. Where in good shape. The only major complaint I would have is some of the pin placements where absolutely ridiculous. Some holes where cut a few feet from the pin impossible to shoot at or placed on top or bottom of a steep slope some of the putts where impossible to get close.
Worth the Drive
The 9 and 18th holes will challenge any recreational golfer...the greens were soft(soft greens= faster play based on the number of divots my group worked on as we played)...fariways and rough were in good shape...all in all a good day...the pin placements may be more relevant to all since they can be in some pretty interesting places...but that is the risk/reward for that approach shot...well worth the drive from most anywhere, and being a public course, it is in fine shape(as close as one can get to a private CC that one can expect with the sheer volume of play)...
Olde Scotland
One of my favorites in the Fall River area. Great layout. A must play.
Best condition in years
This course is a must for people who like challanges , you will need to keep the ball in play to score well, you really need to play smart in most cases I do but when i am not play well its ok no guts no glory. the staff is about the best you can get from the pro shop to the starter to tha rangers they care about the course and I can tell you when my wife & I play we generally ride the rough just so the fairways stay nice.
Its always nice to play at this course.

mixed feelings
ok, so i played there on the cheap, which made it well worth it. Staff was awesome, greens are nice, and the course has a great mix of some easy, moderate and hard holes (pack some extra balls for the hard holes). However, most of the tee boxes and some of the fairways were in poor condition. for that reason, i find the normal in season rates a bit much
Great course....
Nice layout and well maintained. Off line shots end up in good lies.
Good links layout
Pretty forgiving off the tee. Greens are in excellent shape. Rough is pretty thick. Tee boxes are struggling a bit.
Most Tee Boxes are Dead and in Poor Condition!
Fairways and Greens were mostly in Excellent Condition. 15 out of 18 Tee Boxes in POOR CONDITION. Tee boxes are dead and appear to be lacking H2O d.... Grass seed spread, but if you're not watering, grass certainly won't grow ... Possibly a water issue, but there are a few tees that are in great condition. If the Tee Boxes were fixed, would rate the course a 5 Star.
Great Course
Excellent track. Loved the layout. Played from the tips and only had two real complaints: (1) They allowed the wetlands on #8 to grow so high that you cannot see beyond the tee box. So, it is a completely blind 210 yard shot with respect to direction and distance. (2) Number 13 is a 238 (!!!) yard par three and played into the wind. So, it is a bit of a ridiculous hole even for a bomber. Other than that I loved it. Every hole presented a different challenge, required accuracy off the tee and demanded a solid short game. If not for two flaws in the course above, it would be a 5.
Also, be ready for a 4.5 hour round. It plays slow due to the ease of losing balls in some of the grassy areas.
Thanks
You guys are awesome! Friendly staff and flexible when I wanted to move my tee time back 20 mins and add another golfer. You guys get it.
Great place to play
The course has everything to offer, from open fairways to tight greens and high fescue. Absolutely great track!!
Can’t wait to play it again.
Great layout
I really enjoyed playing here and the course was in excellent condition. The staff are very friendly. I will definitely go back.
Stay out of the rough
Overall, a good course.
We got there during the middle of two different leagues, so they stuck our twosome with a twosome of one of the leagues. We were matched with an older couple, who was extremely nice, but it did slow us down. The ranger and staff let us know beforehand that it would take some time on the front 9 since we were grouped but the back 9 would be a lot smoother. We ended up letting one guy play through and it took us a few hours to go through the front, then the ranger tried to speed us up, but he realized which twosome we were and let us finish our 18 a little later than normal cart return.
The course was in good condition. You have to stay out of the rough because it is very thick stuff, there are some “stuff” that you will not find the ball if you are just one foot in it. Keep it in the fairway and you will be good. The only question we had was why was there a 490 yard par 4. Everything else was pretty high quality.
Great Course, Very Forgiving
I played this course on 6/15/19, and it was great! The course was very well kept, just one wet area on the fairway of hole 18. The only down is that the pace of play seems to be a bit slow. Not sure if the group in front of us was just playing very slow or the course was booked solid, but we had to wait to tee off fairly consistently and had to wait many times on subsequent shots. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making find the ball easy. The bunkers and greens were in great shape. Overall, expect a somewhat slower pace of play, but absolutely worthwhile course to play!
Great course
I enjoy a course that plays tricks on your eyes and makes you think through each hole..this course does that...my only complaint is that I got lost on a few holes...the signage needs to be better for walking players. But that's a minor complaint. I highly recommend the course, and it was a short drive from Boston
