Always Fun
Ridder has a relatively easy front 9 followed up by a decent back 9. Course condition is good as alway. Not always in perfect condition but I don’t remember ever playing here and thinking it was bad. Always a fun golf round to be had here.
The course is in great condition
This course is fun for any skill level player. Some tough holes and some easy ones. Great walking course. 4 hours for 18 holes. Bathrooms on front and back. The only bummer was the driving range wasn’t open at the time I was playing. I’ll continue to recommend Ridder to all
Good for beginners
Like most public courses, greens were slow, with all the rain they have on a flat course, it was pretty dry except for 1 hole in the front 9
Ridder - 10 May 2024
Course is in great shape as always. Greens were a little on the slow side.
Hidden Gem
Best bang for your buck. Target golf sucks eggs and this place isn’t that. You could land a very small plane or a very large drone in these fairways. Just not on 17 because you’d likely hit the power lines running through the fairway.
Good value
Conditions not the best during this time of year but that’s to be expected. A little wet on the back 9. Greens were inconsistent with speeds, some being very slow with others being significantly faster. Hazards need some work but maybe will dry out when the weather improves. Overall a great value though and a great course for the money. Will play here again
Lovely day
Carts weren’t available. Course was a bit soggy but it’s what you would expect for new years eve.
Decent layout with greens being in decent shape considering the time of year.
Shorty but fun
Def a short course. Number of dog legs makes it have a little kick to it. Fall golf so the greens were in tough shape like I read in other reviews.
One guy said don't expect to make putts outside two feet but we were all putting solid but man did the ball hop, skip, and bounce left and right. I did make a 25 footer right to left in which I vowed to tiger fist pump when I hit it. The first pump was fierce!
Anyways, I am a short hitter so I appreciate courses that aren't designed for smashmouth golf.
So I wrote my review mostly for the old man stuck in a somewhat younger body that doesn't bomb it off the tee. We had a great time and my buddy marked a 35 on the front!
I'd say if your a big dawg making par on the big dawg courses, you may consider this not for you.
We had a great time and the twosome we got tagged up with made it all the better. We laughed and swore at putts that jumped off line. Had a blast having some birdies attempts and lots of looks at par.
