About
Agawam Municipal Golf Course has been a favorite among local golfers since first opening in 1944. It has a traditional layout that offers a few challenges but it's still player friendly enough for golfers of any skill levels. The holes are fairly straightforward but the gently rolling hills provide some subtly tricky elevation changes. There isn't any water on the golf course but there are mature trees lining the fairways. While it may not be what you're looking for if you're an avid golfer who wants a truly formidable test, Agawam Municipal Golf Course is not to be under-estimated. The greens can be tricky to pitch to and accuracy will take you far. This municipal course is a great spot for a quick and casual round that's also affordable.

Agawam
In spite of the mushy spots because of the rain
The golf course is always well maintained
Staff is beyond friendly
One of my favorite courses for sure
Shouldn't have been open
Course was beyond soggy with a ton of areas blocked off. Had multiple tee shots plop dead into the mud on fairway. Greens were not rolling true. Shouldve been closed for Conditions.

Due to inclement weather, I tried calling this course over 25 hours prior to our tee time as we had to travel 1.5 hours to get to the course. You could not get through to the pro shop and no one called me back even after leaving a message for a return call. We drove out to the course only to find out there were no carts available and since we were playing with someone with a heart condition, walking was out of the question and we were unable to play
They should have made an effort to contact people.
Very disappointed in Agawam.

Wet Grounds
After all the rain we had it wasn't to bad.
Tee time was 9 and the fairways were wet and the greens were slow.
Still a good course to play for the cost.

Course in great shape
Course was a very pleasant surprise..my wife and I wanted to play a quick nine and we decided to give this course a try. The course was in excellent condition..the greens played fast which I prefer. The staff was very friendly. We are already looking forward to the next time we play here.
