Agawam Municipal Golf Course
About
Agawam Municipal Golf Course has been a favorite among local golfers since first opening in 1944. It has a traditional layout that offers a few challenges but it's still player friendly enough for golfers of any skill levels. The holes are fairly straightforward but the gently rolling hills provide some subtly tricky elevation changes. There isn't any water on the golf course but there are mature trees lining the fairways. While it may not be what you're looking for if you're an avid golfer who wants a truly formidable test, Agawam Municipal Golf Course is not to be under-estimated. The greens can be tricky to pitch to and accuracy will take you far. This municipal course is a great spot for a quick and casual round that's also affordable.

Nine, par-3, 140. Playing steeply uphill, this is possibly the best-known, most interesting, and least liked hole at Agawam. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 09/05/2022

Great shape
Course is in great shape for drought conditions. One of the best courses around during drought. Some greens need some help on the front nine but are still in decent shape. I highly recommend playing here.

Agawam Golf Course
I found the course in very good condition. Fairways are very good. Greens are also good. With the exception of a couple greens. But those that needed attention are definitely improving.

Golfing with my son.
I reserved a tee time for two. Upon arriving at 7:30 a.m. I was told at the pro shop that I had to return both carts at 11:30 a.m. He told me they have an outing scheduled. How does one do 18 holes in that amount of time?
Well when all was said and done, we were in at 11:00
I have never played so fast, but nowhere did it tell me while booking they had a function happening. I was a little upset as were others.
Hello and thank you for the feedback! We do apologize for the booking confusion and we'll make it more obvious next time.
Hi, ebaldwin38. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your time at Agawam Municipal Golf Course. We look forward to seeing you on the course soon for another 5-star experience!
Too many people on the course taking way too many strokes. Many foursomes were already double the par by the time they reached the green. Then they all 3 and 4 putted on top of that.
Hi mikemcnulty1! Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. We will make note and we hope to see you back!

Horrible conditions
Greens had sand patches all over them. Fairways were all muddy and full of puddles. It cost $15 to play 18 and I don't think it was even worth it.

Agawam Municipal Golf Course
Good course. It is well maintained for a municipal course. Challenging for intermediate golfers.
Thanks so much for your great review. We're ecstatic you had such a wonderful time!
Good value
Beginning golfer so not much to compare but had a lot of fun. Great experience booking through Golfnow. Discovered they always include the cart even though I expected to walk. Last to join a party of 3 others so I only paid $14. No one was pushing us along in the 90° heat. First course I didn't lose a ball on lol. I will be back.
