Agawam Municipal Golf Course
About
Agawam Municipal Golf Course has been a favorite among local golfers since first opening in 1944. It has a traditional layout that offers a few challenges but it's still player friendly enough for golfers of any skill levels. The holes are fairly straightforward but the gently rolling hills provide some subtly tricky elevation changes. There isn't any water on the golf course but there are mature trees lining the fairways. While it may not be what you're looking for if you're an avid golfer who wants a truly formidable test, Agawam Municipal Golf Course is not to be under-estimated. The greens can be tricky to pitch to and accuracy will take you far. This municipal course is a great spot for a quick and casual round that's also affordable.

Course is in great shape. I've gotten used to it being very busy and this being Saturday 75° day in November with every other course booked full, it was no surprise that the 18 would not get finished. Oh well, no complaints. It was a good round ... Just wish people wouldn't take 10 shots to get to the green is all
Great Value
The Greens are Great very puttable. Fairways are wide and for giving.

A course with split personalities
Both times I've played here have been fun. It's been a little crowded, but pace of play hasn't really been affected. The front 9 holes are pretty straight forward nothing too crazy, until the way uphill par 3 for number 9. The back 9 are more challenging with hills and dog legs. Overall it's a great course that's worth the price, and I recommend it to anyone.

Better than expected.
Played Agawam a ton growing up in the '90s, but had not been here since 2004. In much better shape than I expected, especially given the lack of rain. All you can ask for for the money.

Great shape
Course is in great shape for drought conditions. One of the best courses around during drought. Some greens need some help on the front nine but are still in decent shape. I highly recommend playing here.

Agawam Golf Course
I found the course in very good condition. Fairways are very good. Greens are also good. With the exception of a couple greens. But those that needed attention are definitely improving.

Golfing with my son.
I reserved a tee time for two. Upon arriving at 7:30 a.m. I was told at the pro shop that I had to return both carts at 11:30 a.m. He told me they have an outing scheduled. How does one do 18 holes in that amount of time?
Well when all was said and done, we were in at 11:00
I have never played so fast, but nowhere did it tell me while booking they had a function happening. I was a little upset as were others.
Hello and thank you for the feedback! We do apologize for the booking confusion and we'll make it more obvious next time.
