I don’t know if ten is the signature hole at St. Anne, but it’s good enough to fill that role. It also sports a nice view from the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2024

The par-5 16th, late afternoon. A great many golf courses essentially look green, greener, and greenest. This is seldom true, however, of New England layouts in mid-October. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2024

Eighteen, a long and tough finishing hole, doglegs left off the tee. Later it swerves back right and uphill to a well-defended green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2024

The downhill seventh doglegs left, but also has a small but significant hazard to cross: the stream (where the bridge is crossing). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/05/2022

Don’t hit too far down the seventh fairway—crossed by a meddlesome brook. But do enjoy the views. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 09/21/2020

First time in 50 years
First couple greens were a little rough.. newly punched..
Fairways, tees and all other greens were very good.
Last time I played this course the last 3 holes were par 5’s
Now it’s 5,4,5 .. .
Overall it was a very pleasant experience
Always a solid place to duff!
This course has been in great shape all year, and that’s saying ALOT with the weather we had this season. Too many places were burnt and dry, but not St Anne. The staff has done a great job keeping this one of the best and most consistent places to play in the area. Great value, solid people. Oh, and Amherst Brewing “Jess” on tap…what’s not to like? Great job St Anne.
Greatest Course in the Area
St. Annes is by far my favorite course in my hometown area. They do an incredible job at keeping the course in phenomenal shape all season long, even through this summers drought the conditions always please.
Staff are extremely friendly and the course has a great non-intimidating vibe for any type of golfer from beginner to advanced. I always make sure to recommend this course to anyone asking.
No Beverage Cart Service
Hot day and needed a cold drink, need to get a beverage service here. Also the maps of the holes at the T’s are not very representative of the holes…
Perfect amount of Challenge
This course layout is wonderful. Easy to go from Green to next T-Box. No hunting like many other NE courses. Some tight fairways make this a shot-strategy course. Some greens guarded by bunkers, but none in the fairways. A moderate amount of water hazards, but well placed with the right approach.
Nice course
Very nice course for the money. I was reprimanded for taking my cart back to the shed so it could get cleaned and charged. He was furious I didn’t put it with the carts for new guest to be reused. It’s a shame because I actually was thinking of joining this course.
Green grass
Excellent watering and maintenance of this course. The greens are well maintained and every other hole had sprinklers running in the fairways periodically. Rough is thick, but that is not bad given the drought the area has had. Tee boxes could be cut a little tighter. This was my first time playing St. Anne’s and I would recommend to anyone looking for a great value.
Once again, better conditions than the rest…
So many local courses are burnt to a crisp with this year’s hot hot summer, but St Anne is still in excellent shape compared to nearby courses. If you need a solid round, at a solid course, this is the spot. PS FOOD IS EXCELLENT. I stop in for burgers occasionally even when I’m not playing. Great place to spend a few hours.
A Tale of two nines! Loved the course
St. Anne is a great golf course to play. I played the white tees. The front nine is very difficult with several long par 4's and tight tree-lined fairways. The back nine is just the opposite - many short par 4's and pretty wide-open fairways. One consistency on both nines is very thick, rough when you miss a fairway, and occasionally, you just see the top of the ball. We had a great meal after golf and the staff was pleasant and efficient. I would definitely play St. Anne again!
Noon tee time put us in the middle of a league
When we made the turn for the back nine we were suddenly in the middle of a league with slow play. Would have been nice to know when we made the GolfNow reservation.
In Great Shape!
I have played St Anne's CC many times in the past but after reading the great reviews I decided to play it again on Friday. The excellent reviews I read online were right on target. The course is in Excellent condition and they have made some nice upgrades on some of the tee boxes and cart paths. Also could not beat the price at $32 including a cart. Staff is always friendly as well. Will be back soon!
Always solid!
Always a solid experience. Staff is great. Course is fun. Smooth sailing.
