Pleasantly surprised
I drove 75+ minutes to get here, initially I saw the hot deal listed at 25, and when I checked back it jumped to 43. It was still worth the money and I learned my lesson about letting a deal like that sit. Very forgiving course, par 5s are easy to score and there are plenty of holes you can use your driver on. Some very nice views on this course, hilly, but very fun to play.
Slippery When Wet
A hidden gem, greens and fairways always well kept but its been a wet spring. Check the Facebook page to see if carts are allowed, day to day. Got stuck coming off the 9th, watched a 360 on the 17th when they tried to stop, so be careful on slopes if it is wet. Driving range and practice green across street with car parking but no carts allowed.
Shoot low
I only played the front from the tips, if you keep it in play you can score low. Nice fairways with forgiving first cut.
Good course
Short course, in good shape. Some of the holes are on top of each other, they tried to stuff holes in a small space.. Lots of geese poop to watch out for, some holes have drastic turns (lack of space) , blind shots and severe valleys. A good challenge.
Decent Conditions
They do a nice job taking care of the place. Not overly long, except for two 200+ par 3s, and pretty wide open. My only complaint is a lot of the cart paths need some serious maintenance. I will be back next year for the annual trek to Gardner.
Surprisingly nice hidden gem of a course.
I’ve played this course 3 or 4 times now & ive really gotten you appreciate it.
Staff is friendly, fairways are well maintained, great layout all the way through. You won’t be disappointed with this course no matter what your skill level is.
Never Disappointed
You can always depend on Gardner Golf Course to be in good condition. This course gets a lot of play and it's a municipal course but they really take care of it and the greens are always great. Each 9 is a little different. Front is flatter and a bit more open and the back is older and carved out of the woods. Regardless, it's a good layout and very fair.

For a muni, course is in great shape. It’s a friendly easy to play course. We’ll worth the trip.
