Long track
We played on a day when the weather kept many golfers away. As a result, we were able to get around in a little over four hours. Despite the wet conditions, the course drained well and was in pretty good shape. The course plays long (6,600 yds from the white tees) but is fairly open so very playable for the average golfer. Over the years, several bunkers and trees that defined the character of the course have been removed, making the course easier but also a bit boring. On balance, it's still worth playing and a good value for the money.
Westover golf course
Greens were in very good condition, fairways too! Rough was much lower than past years, which is easier on my wrists! Really enjoyed my round!
Good shape, plays long.
The course is in good shape, they have done a good job to get this ready after the winter. The greens have sand on them and are recovering nicely, rolling a little slow.
Fun course, put it on your list.
Great course...
Apart from the occasional fighter pilots who felt compelled to catch a glimpse of our game from the air, it's a serene and great course
Good conditions for April
Played in 3 hours on a cool cloudy day. Took me 9 holes to catch the twosome walking in front of me. Joined up with them on the back and enjoyed their company.
Grass just starting to grow and fertilized was on the greens. Bunkers were not maintained recently but I raked out them where my ball was a few times.
Great layout and one of the longer courses in western mass. Should be in great shape in a week or two.
Early Season Golf
This early in the season, you wouldn't expect excellent conditions, which it wasn't, but the greens were in good condition and the fairways showed only minimal winter kill. Given a month or so, Westover will be a great place for a round of golf.
One of the best values in the Valley
The course is in great shape considering it’s only March. You’ll almost always see some sort of cool aircraft overhead.
Early in the season Westover.
This was our first round of the season and the course was on great shape for this early in the year. Only a couple of holes had soft, wet conditions. The greens were sanded and a bit slow right now but that's exactly what you should expect in mid-March in New England.
