About
Cold Spring Country Club is situated halfway between Springfield and Worcester. Opened in 2010 in an effort to bring world class golf to western Massachusetts, the club has since garnered a local following. The par-71 layout is unique in that it has six par 3s and five par 5s. There are also some par 4s in the 450-yard range. The 6,521-yard length indicated on the scorecard can be deceiving since it feels much longer when you're playing it. The golf course has plenty of variety, including dogleg lefts, doglegs rights, short holes, and long holes. Thanks to its mountaintop locale, Cold Spring C.C. offers stunning views that are as diverse as the holes. The vistas from the elevated tees and greens stretch to the Berkshires, Connecticut, and Vermont. From the golf course's highest tee box on the par-3 10th, you'll have a panoramic view of central Massachusetts.

Place is meh, owner is a joke. Not worth the price at all, should be 50$ max. Better off going to Chicopee, Ledges, Mill Valley, Veterans, Franc, etc etc etc ………
Course and staff are great
We’ve played this course a few times and enjoy it. The terrain is interesting and the staff are friendly. The only thing we’ve found that is negative is the restaurant staff. The bartender greeted us with “what do you want”. They are generally unfriendly each time we have played this course. It would also be nice to have a drink cart so that we didn’t have to go inside.
Best kept secret in Western MA
I don’t know why I don’t play here more often. The course is challenging but fair, the greens are immaculate and there is hardly every anyone playing here. It’s the best kept secret for inexpensive golf on a course that does not reflect the price they charge. Maybe people think that it is not a top course because they charge so little but this is a top track in central/western mass.
Better Than Average
The course is in nice shape, but it was fairly slow going due to the holiday. We tried calling the pro shop that morning, and couldn't get a human being to answer the phone.
Need a cart
Course was in excellent condition even with the drought. Sand traps had sand not dirt which is common around here. Mountain side location is beautiful. The layout is also large. There are some good walking/driving distances between tees. More signage here would have been helpful. Was confused several times and lost my gap between a following group on carts.
I'm retired and look forward to walking while I play but here a cart is needed next time to enjoy my round. The ninth and eighteenth holes were a steep challenge to my recently retired fitness and the 85° weather. WATER stations! No water stations which was something I took for granted. I'll be prepared next time.
This course is on my short list to join next year.
T-boxes . . . . . Meh
Some t-boxes were in pretty rough shape. Otherwise, the course was in very good condition.
Aeration in progress, but nice course.
They were in the middle of aerating (reduced rate), started on the back nine, by the time i made the turn they were done. Sandy and holes punched on greens, they watered, not great but playable.
The rest of the course is in good shape, play it.
