Country Club of Halifax

This is always a nice course to play. however, recently with lack of rain, there are some dead spots here and there and a couple of the greens need some love. they have a very nice outdoor bar area overlooking the 18th hole. It’s not open every day so it’s hit or miss which is why I only gave three stars for off course amenities.

Perfect day for golf after all the heat we’ve had lately. Course is in great shape despite some greens looking not so good. Quick greens with a true line. The course was busier than usual but not too bad of a pace. Always enjoy playing here!

Dry Conditions , The Course Is Watering And Maintaining The Best They Can With The Dry Weather Also Making Some Changes For The Better , The Course Should Be In Great Condition For Next Season , Not sure What All The Changes Are But Its Great To See A Course Spend Money On Improvements When Needed. Awesome !!!

Rough around the edges … heat has taken its tollll, but greens and fairways were very good …. some tees needed help. Still no drinking water available on course . Bar and kitchen were closed .Very limited availability of food and drink . Too bad …

For a crowded, busy day of golf (it is August, after all), the pace of play stayed right on target. Course was in good condition, especially notable because of the hot weather so far this month. Staff has kept fairways in good condition and cleaned up lots of the woodland ‘mess’ in the trees, where my ball usually goes. So much easier to find it this time! Thanks!

My only request would be to have more water out on the course.

Definitely worth playing. Vert playable if you're hitting ball good. A few greens were a little beat up by not a big problem. Nice range and practice area too.

Course is set away from things in Halifax but because it use to be private In thought we would try it. Upon entering the facilities are old and outdated clubhouse had a few gloves to purchase and maybe a shirt. When we arrived, we were five minutes early to our teatime, but they let us go out early. There was no starter. The course itself was well laid out over the space, but the conditions of the greens were very poor. I’m not sure if the dry summer had anything to do with it, but the course definitely needed some attention. The greens and fairway on the 10th hole were by far the best and showed what the course could be. There was no food offering at the turn so instead, we lived off of the potato chips from the food cart.

This course is in great shape with all this lack of rain!

It’s a must play if you want fast greens and a little long course!

This course was great. Fun track, challenging greens, nice bar area. Limited food options but they are working on it.
