Waverly Woods Golf Course

we played with the discount rate knowing it was going to be aerated. in spite of the bumpy greens the course is in good shape, and we'll come back when they're healed up.

We did not know that back nine was closed and that the greens have been worked on.. should have been told or there should have been a warning or notice in Golf Now when we made the reservation. Getting out only once a week and having to play at this condition was not ideal no matter the cost. Very disspointed.

We played Friday. Beautiful weather made for a great round. The Starter, Ed, was extremely welcoming, and we had a great time. It only took about 4 hours even though we had people in front and behind us all day. The golf course is a wonderful breath of fresh air compared to some others in the area. Thanks.

Course is in outstanding shape. We thoroughly enjoyed our rounds. Course in great shape, employees were professional, and we played fast on a busy day.

Waverly Woods is a really good track. We enjoyed our rounds per usual. The starter offered us water and a ice cold towel, and then someone on the course did so as well. Nice touch.

Really enjoyed my round at WW. Nice layout! Challenging. Recommend for mid to low handicappers. Fair amount of hazards. A few forced carries. Good course conditions. Will be back

As a longtime league player and previous Waverly/Blue Mash member who knows the course and its staff intimately, I'd like to leave a few comments. For what it's worth, I play an average of 1-2 times per week, and hang out at your grill other times. As always, your Superintendent has the course in fabulous condition - top notch. Mike does a great job - always has. However, I'd really like to comment on your entire golf team. Since Cory and Alex came in, it's been night and day compared to the last 4 years. Not to speak poorly about the previous manager, whom I tried to get to know well, but the staff had been a bit tense and even combative at times - I used to get the sense they were always worried about getting in trouble (perhaps just in my head?), and the manager himself was not super personable. For leagues, no one could ever really answer questions without getting his assistance. Not a bad guy, but he kept customers at arms length, even regulars and members. Additionally, the appearance of the club's facilities (carts, clubhouse, etc.) had begun to deteriorate. I had never seen a golf course other than Waverly where the general manager was the only one who could do anything.

Total change now - your Assistant Pro Alex is the best in the business and makes a point to get to know the regulars and members - he's truly a "club pro." A few others I play with have commented on this as well. He has a talent for customer service. He runs the Mens league I play in and does an excellent job. Natasha, Tom, Marc, and the rest of the team seem to follow suit. There are also some other wonderful new staff members at the desk like Eric and Jordan, and some wonderful new starters like Ed and Sam who also deserve recognition. Things like pace, charged carts, beverage cart service, and a presence on the golf course make a difference. It was 100 degrees on Sunday and I had a Marshal offer me water 3 separate times. There has also been an obvious effort to dress the place up like it used to be and its starting to have the higher-end club feel again. The Pro Shop is stocked up throughout the year (.... ran out of ProV1's last summer...) and has good selection and options.

I really enjoyed my round at Waverly Woods. I played the Whites. There is a good mix of holes. There is some fun risk reward options. There are several holes with forced carries. I would recommend it for mid and low handicappers. If you cannot control your ball fly, you will lose a lot of golf balls. It’s comparable and play and complexity to its sister course, Blue Mash.

We played on Saturday - it was about 100 degrees. The course is in superb shape, very good. The staff was wonderful, and offered us water several times on course as well as towels. It was a good day.

Good all around! It was a fun day, even if hot. We will be back!

Fun round. So cool that you carry vice golf balls in your pro shop. No one else does!!

Played yesterday (Sunday). It was cart paths only, so it was a bit of a challenging walk but we did ok. The course was in good shape and the staff was very nice. Thanks.
